[ If the sword does nothing, she's just going to try to completely embed the sword into the being and then because it wants her off the horse, she's going to launch herself off the horse to try and tackle the being, grabbing onto it around its torso(?). ]

[ The girl frowns, and then looks around. ]

They ran that way. What kind of impersonation are you doing?

The sword is now stuck in it, and then Jeanne just launches herself at it. The being tips over, hitting the ground. ]

Jeanne is so surprised it worked that she's stunned for a second, and then she just tries to sit on its chest(?) and look down at it. At its face(?). ]

I really don't want to fight you, if I don't have to.

[ Hopefully, it doesn't launch her back into the trees again. ]

I'll look with you. [ The girl gives Clem a look over. ] I doubt you'll find them on your own.

[ It stares(?) back at Jeanne.

And then tries to launch her into another tree. ]

[ she starts heading in the direction the girl pointed in, but clearly welcoming the company! it's fine! ]

[ What happens if she tries to grab onto it so she doesn't go flying? ]

[ The girl just follows along, looking around.

Jeanne manages to not go flying! But it's now going to try to smash her (and it) against a tree. ]

This is going to hurt. It's going to hurt a lot whenever they hit the tree, but she's going to try to hang on some more before reaching for the sword hilt that's helpfully sticking out somewhere. ]

Are you going to do something like that again?

[ The child asks Clem, who definitely knows what she supposedly did.

The hilt is still sticking out! And (rolls) Jeanne can pull it out, even if she's getting smashed against a tree as she does so. This will definitely hurt. ]

[ of course she knows what she did! it's just, there were so many things that she did? and who can say which of them it was!! ]

[ She winces and hisses in pain but grits her teeth. She uses the sword to pull herself up with good effort and glares at the being.

Unless the being will stop her, she's going to try to maneuver around it, so it is between her and a tree. ]

[ The girl pouts. ]

[ Jeanne accomplishes it! But it's going to try to follow after her. At least, it doesn't walk very fast? So there's that. ]

Jeanne backs up a few paces before she charges forward.

You see, she wants to pin the being to a tree with the sword. ]

[ The girls folds her arms over her chest. ]

Are you sure about that?

[ Jeanne is so smart. She charges forward, and--well, it moves slightly, so the aim isn't as perfect as she planned, but she does manage to pin it in its side. ]

[ As long as it's pinned, that's all she needs!

Is it going to dislodge the sword? Is it safely pinned? Jeanne is going to watch because after Kano, she can't turn her back and leave without being a little more sure. Like, 20% more sure. ]

[ The girl is just scowling now.

And, at the same exact time, Jeanne will notice a change. The being seems to be growing in size, now reaching closer to twenty feet. It's no longer pinned to the tree, but the sword is still embedded in it. ]

Jeanne needs a way to figure out this connection, but she has none. They're too far apart.

Anyway, she just stares at this growth and waits to see its next move. ]

[ Well, she doesn't want it to attack anyone, so she doesn't want to lead it back to the castle, but.

Maybe there is something else in this fog that could help her?

Jeanne runs back into the fog. Away from the being but not towards the castle. ]
