Jeanne backs up a few paces before she charges forward.

You see, she wants to pin the being to a tree with the sword. ]

[ The girls folds her arms over her chest. ]

Are you sure about that?

[ Jeanne is so smart. She charges forward, and--well, it moves slightly, so the aim isn't as perfect as she planned, but she does manage to pin it in its side. ]

Why wouldn't I be?

[discernments]

[ As long as it's pinned, that's all she needs!

Is it going to dislodge the sword? Is it safely pinned? Jeanne is going to watch because after Kano, she can't turn her back and leave without being a little more sure. Like, 20% more sure. ]

[ The girl is just scowling now.

And, at the same exact time, Jeanne will notice a change. The being seems to be growing in size, now reaching closer to twenty feet. It's no longer pinned to the tree, but the sword is still embedded in it. ]

Jeanne needs a way to figure out this connection, but she has none. They're too far apart.

Anyway, she just stares at this growth and waits to see its next move. ]

Well, I'm king and I'm a little girl, moron. [ She sounds so offended. ] How did you forget?

[ It bows politely at Jeanne and says it's sorry.

No, once it gets big enough, it's going to smash its hand against a tree, uprooting it and sending it flying. It turn its attention back to her. ]

[ Well, she doesn't want it to attack anyone, so she doesn't want to lead it back to the castle, but.

Maybe there is something else in this fog that could help her?

Jeanne runs back into the fog. Away from the being but not towards the castle. ]

[ The king is still frowning, and then sighs. ]

This might not be working out. Why don't we try again?

[ Well, the being just turns and starts following after Jeanne, because of course it does.

As Jeanne runs, the fog thickens until it's hard to see anything at all. But then, for a second, it vanishes, and if she looks around, it's like she's in a modern, large city. Then it's back to fog. ]

What do you mean? I need to know what you want if you expect me to do it.

It's not too late.

[discernments]

[ Uh? ]

[ Hello? She slows down in her running and tries to see through the fog some more.

CITY COME BACK. ]

I want something fun for once. So that I stop being bored.

[ Jeanne, if she squints, can see trees.

The being approached. ]

[ If she can't see anything else, she's going back towards the castle. They're just going to go back to the castle.

Maybe she can outrun it. ]

I want you to perform a neat trick. Right now.

[ Clem can do this because she is a jester.

The being just follows behind Jeanne slowly.]

[ she doesn't think the juggling thing is going to count.




and yet, she knows literally no other tricks. so she reaches into her jester bag and pulls out some beanbags to juggle. she juggles them for a tiny bit longer than last time. not that i think that's worth much. ]

[ clem you can't double down on this lie TO THE PERSON IT'S ABOUT ]

[ Jeanne's going to keep running until she can see the castle grounds again!

Maybe she gets lost. Maybe she find somewhere else. Maybe she runs in circles. Who knows. ]

[ She frowns after Clem finishes. ]

It'll be cooler if you had more bags.

[ or maybe there will be part of a tree thrown at her. ]

[ she didn't expect to get this far. she picks up her beanbags... and reaches into her bag for even more beanbags.

she tries to juggle More Beanbags but again, does not really know how to juggle so it's more like she just. tosses them up in the air and watches them all fall.

[ THE part of a TREE CLIPS JEANNE FROM THE BACK why is it always her back and she eats dirt. She's going to be bruised to hell and back, not to mention the scrapes she's getting from tree bark.

[ As Jeanne is not here to vouch for Clem, the trick is just greeted by silence. The king looks at Clementine and then to the dropped bags, and back to Clementine. ]

I think I'm going to make things more fun now.

The being just keeps walking, trying tp catch up to her now. ]
