[ Hansa and Emet-Selch suggest that Kaiza take up a leadership position! When, you know, he's older. ]
Do you really think I'll be good at it...?
[ He looks thoughtful, if a bit unsure. What exactly does being a leader entail...? ]
Well, I guess Ohmi and Riu can take care of the hard parts, since they're good at getting paperwork and stuff done, and I just have to make sure they're not pissing anyone off, on purpose or by accident.
There always needs to be one to stabilize the group-- leaving things to a single ruler is less effective, but a group can become complicated when they fail to agree. Being able to listen to and understand the public is of great import, as well.
Haha, hey! Don't take it as pressure. Its not like you have to live up to some lofty ideal. You'll just tire yourself out that way.
[Hansa knows that Emet will probably have a lot more to say here, given that he himself is a carefree feral man who barely follows the rules, but he'll try his best.]
I think that you just have to keep in mind what you're doing this for. Leaders who get selfish and only want to help themselves are like bad apples that ruin the whole bunch. You have to work for the community and the people within it. But you can't exactly be lax, either - you have to be fair, and just, and be able to listen to others and what they want to say.
It is as he says-- the good of the whole comes before the good of the individual, and before specific preferences. What matters is not what you wish to do, but what would be best to do for the community.
...as for the other two, no, they may not end up learning. However, they may grow into it. Even if they do not, so long as you are there to help speak for them, their work itself should produce results.
Well, you can threaten them a little? I mean, if nothing else seems to work. [A beat.] Even better yet, call me and I'll threaten them for you. Everyone wins.

[He smiles down at Kaiza.]
Its a lot harder than you think, getting people to get along. So you should be proud of that.

[ Kaiza holds a hand up to his head, looking sheepish. Praise from his guardians... ]
Maybe I should get those two to be better at it... though I dunno if I can teach Ohmi how to read a room or Riu to chill a little more.
[ Hmmm. ]
What else makes for a good leader?

[ He thinks for a moment, before grinning. ]
But fair and just, huh? So no threatening people, right?
[ It's a joke but also given that he's looking at Hansa, hm. ]

[i have decided he has tea in this thread just so he can sip it as he says, mildly:]
In this one, however, certain problems can only be handled in particular ways. I suggest more subtlety than a punch in the face.

I don't think hiring for hitmen is gonna be in the budget.

[PLAYFUL HAIR RUFFLE FOR YOU, KAIZA]
But yeah, what Emet-Selch said, I guess.

Fortunately, Kaiza probably won't be calling on Hansa's services anytime soon. In fact, his problems in the future will be on a much smaller scale. ]
