GRAVEYARD

Well, that sucked.

But no matter what your death was like—whether it was something peaceful or traumatic, you'll find yourself waking in a completely white room on the floor. Small and empty, there isn't anything else there besides an open door to walk through. But before you do that, you'll probably notice that whatever injuries you may have had, including whatever may have been the death blow, are now gone. That's exciting.

Stepping out of the room, it seems that you're in a large... house? with three different floors. Everything from floor, ceiling to furniture is completely white, except for the drawings that are plastered to the walls in each room. These are all colorful, drawn in colored pencils and crayon, and resemble a child's drawing. The other notable thing are the windows. While they're present all around the building, looking out of them only shows TV static. Besides that, everything is furnished with the absolute bare minimum of each room.

The first floor is all typical common areas one would find in a house. There's a kitchen, living room area, laundry room, dining room, and a main hallway where the stairs are. There are also helpful drawings in these rooms that show the rooms much more lavishly decorated than they actually are. There's a door that appears to be the way to exit the building, but it leads you to somewhere that's not the front lawn.

The second floor consists of nothing but twenty bedrooms. Each room has one queen sized bed, an empty dresser, and an attached bathroom with only a sink, toilet, and shower. Like the first floor, each bedroom has drawn pictures that show it looking much more lavish than it actually does. Thanks for nothing, artist!

The third floor only has two rooms. One appears to be a home office with nothing but a desk and two chairs, one behind it and one in front of it. On the desk are some blank pieces of paper along with crayons, as well as a written note next to them that says PLEASE DRAW THE PREFERRED ANIMAL :). It looks like this is how you ask for a meeting with a Leader.

The other room is much larger, and it's completely empty save for the many drawings lining its walls— in fact, the walls are covered in them, much more than in any other room. On closer inspection, though, it seems like these aren't actually drawings? The papers seem to be showing scenes from the living area. Everything from inside the hotel to the areas beyond the bridge are visible here. However, when curfew hits on Thursday nights, they revert to being normal drawings! Except for the fact that they're all drawings of stick figures being murdered in various ways.

Well. At least there's plenty of things to draw with, if you get bored.

As of Week 3, each person has the ability to send messages on their PHS unlocked.

[Well. This is quite possibly the absolute worst week for scuba diving. Blood is pooling inside Yoshizawa's goggles, which is unfortunate given the fact that there's nothing dividing the visor between the left and right eye. They may want to go about this as quickly as possible.

Though, can they even talk underwater? Probably not, considering the whole oxygen tank situation. Yoshizawa gives Yona a glance, tilting her head in the whale's direction, and then makes... some kind of gesture with her hands? Uh. Specifically, she claps both of her hands together and pulls her fingers apart so only the heels of her palms are touching.]

[personal profile] dawnblushed 2020-11-10 08:42 pm (UTC)(link)
[They absolutely cannot.

Also, Yona doesn't 100% know what she means by that gesture. It looks like a mouth? ...which makes sense! They have to figure out why his mouth hurts. So. She figures that means they need to swim closer to the whale's mouth.

Just keep swimming, just keep swimming... she's absolutely ignoring the fact that swimming aggravates the bleeding wound on her back. Luckily they're not dealing with sharks!

Hmm. Open up, whale.]

[Yona is right in that it's mouth related, though swimming closer isn't exactly what she had in mind. A few air bubbles will escape her mouth as she attempts to say something, before suddenly remembering why she put herself through charades hell again. Welp. Time to swim after Yona.

The whale watches them carefully, making sad whale noises due to the pain. But despite the fact that the girls are here to help, it doesn't say anything to them. This is apparently a talking whale, and yet?? Bummer. Sumire glances a Yona when the mouth remains firmly shut, and makes a knocking gesture with her fist. The fuck does that mean.]

[personal profile] dawnblushed 2020-11-10 10:30 pm (UTC)(link)
[...knock?

Aha. Yona thinks she gets it.

She swims closer to the whale, balls her hand into a fist, and knocks on its lip. Come on! Open up! They're here to help!]

[The whale is, apparently not a whale of many words. Or, maybe, this whale is now a himbo? He makes a confused noise when Yona knocks on his lips, and then opens his maw in order to offer: Knock knock? Who's theeeeere?

But, uh, well. It's a very large mouth! Sumire perks up. She quickly points at, moves her own hand up with the palm facing Yona, and tries to dart inside before the whale can fully close it. Is she about to get crushed between the baleen? We just don't know.]

[personal profile] dawnblushed 2020-11-11 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
[Yona is Right There, so honestly, when the whale opens its very large mouth? In she goes! She turns back to see if Sumire is following her, and -

Oh yikes that's a close call.

She reaches over, grabs her by the wrist, and yanks her the rest of the way into the whale's mouth before she can get crushed.

...

Wow, it's dark in here.]

[...

They cannot see shit, can they?

Sumire bumps into Yona when she's yanked all the way into the whale's mouth, sending both of them spinning — until they hit the whale's tongue. It is very............................... slimy. And not great for the little bit of exposed skin on their faces. Ew.]
dawnblushed: (057)

[personal profile] dawnblushed 2020-11-11 03:09 pm (UTC)(link)
[Ohhhhhh she hates this.

But there is absolutely no source of light in here, so yeah, I assume they can't see shit. Yona shudders when they hit that slimy, gross tongue, and tries to get a look around the creature's mouth, but...

...it's so dark... she keeps one hand holding on to Sumire's, then puts the other out to feel around as they pick their way through the whale's mouth. Okay, what's making its mouth hurt... if they can't see it they'll just have to feel it...]

[Sumire erasure...

It seems like she has the same idea as Yona, however. Keeping firm grip on Yona's hand, she starts to feel around the whale's mouth as carefully as possible. There's more slime, more baleen, more fleshy little chunks, something long and metallic — wait. What?

Sumire starts tugging Yona's hand in that direction at the same time the fleshy bits around them start to... twitch.

This is just going to keep getting grosser and grosser, ain't it?]
dawnblushed: (060)

[personal profile] dawnblushed 2020-11-11 10:08 pm (UTC)(link)
[Yona feels the tug on her hand, and he tries to head in the direction Sumire is indicating.

Unfortunately, they don't really get to go far before the flesh bits around them begin twitching. She doesn't understand what's happening, or why - but, unfortunately, they've triggered the whale's gag reflex by standing on the back of its tongue.

There's a brief instance where the gloom around them brightens up as the whale's mouth opens -

And then they're spewed out of there, along with some algae and kelp and other gross bits. Yona's head is spinning.]
siblingless: (124)

[personal profile] siblingless 2020-11-11 10:40 pm (UTC)(link)
[Well.

This may as well happen.

More air bubbles burst out of Sumire's mouth as she's spewed out of the whale's mouth, her tube and tank dislodged and absolutely covered in algae and kelp. Her googles are splattered with blood and she cannot see shit, my dude. She may or may not smack Yona as she flails around, trying to stop herself from wildly careening away.

In the background, the whale offers a single, empathetic: OH, NO.]

[personal profile] dawnblushed 2020-11-11 10:43 pm (UTC)(link)
[(rolls a dice

laughs)

OH NO indeed. Sumire's smack actually knocks Yona's goggles and mouthpiece off. They're both struggling here. Yona grasps wildly at her hand, then kicks to propel them both upwards to the surface.

Air, air... they're going to have to rethink their strategy, maybe. Provided they don't drown first.]

[personal profile] siblingless 2020-11-11 10:50 pm (UTC)(link)
[I rolled a dice and it said 16 but you know what? The dice is a coward.

These binches are drowning several yards away from the surface.

Which means they are sinking back down since their corpses haven't met the right conditions to float just yet.

Unfortunate!]
dawnblushed: (059)

[personal profile] dawnblushed 2020-11-11 10:52 pm (UTC)(link)
[And lo, they're now double-dead.

...and then not dead! Yona comes to abruptly, her eyes snapping open and her lips parting to suck in a breath on instinct. This unfortunately only fills her mouth and lungs with more water, and though she tries to swim for the surface, she uh.

She drowns. Again.

And sinks further down.

Again.]

[Sumire lasts a little longer than Yona this time, but. Uh.

With her goggles smeared with blood and her mouthpiece covered in algae, it doesn't take too long before water fills her lungs and she drowns.

Again.

They're going down, they're yelling timber...]

[personal profile] dawnblushed 2020-11-11 11:01 pm (UTC)(link)
[Yona, unfortunately, is deadweight. She's also still holding onto Sumire's hand, which means that they're not going to make it very far up before Sumire drowns.

She's.

She's really starting to hate swimming?

Anyway, she tries, when she wakes up again not long after Sumire dies - but some of the kelp has wound itself around her ankles, which is now making swimming a little difficult.

She drowns again.]
siblingless: (103)

[personal profile] siblingless 2020-11-11 11:05 pm (UTC)(link)
[How many times can they drown? A lot, actually.

Yona's dead hand slips out of Sumire's grasp for a brief instance. This, in turn, causes her to freak out, push her goggles up and swim after her. She manages to snag her by the arm just in time to— you guessed it! Drown again.

Oops.]
dawnblushed: (058)

[personal profile] dawnblushed 2020-11-11 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)
[Well, you know what the fun part about just floating aimlessly in the deep blue see is?

Sometimes you don't know which way is up and which is down.

So when Yona revives in a panic, she's not actually sure which way to be swimming. She manages to get her feet semi-free of the kelp, and kicks to propel the two of them...

...uh, down. Oops.

By the time she realizes it and tries to correct it, she's drowning as she turns her head up toward the surface.]
siblingless: (129)

[personal profile] siblingless 2020-11-11 11:38 pm (UTC)(link)
[Everything is fine.

Sumire sucks in a breath when she revives — which, of course, is a total mistake. Her lungs fill with water immediately as she struggles to keep Yona close to her, slinging one arm around her midriff to keep her from slipping even further down. Unfortunately, it does not take long for her to die.

Again.

Somewhere in the distance, the whale idly comments: HM.]
dawnblushed: (051)

[personal profile] dawnblushed 2020-11-11 11:49 pm (UTC)(link)
[Yona revives specifically to spite this judgmental whale.

Okay. Sumire's arm is around her midriff, which makes it easier for her to find her arm and pull her along. This time, she actually gets going for the surface in the right direction! She doesn't even take in a lungful of water right away!

However they are definitely not close enough to the surface for her to actually get there before she drowns again. At least this time she's like, halfway there when she starts to sink!]
siblingless: (058)

[personal profile] siblingless 2020-11-12 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
[Spite is so valid.

At this point, Sumire is more frustrated than she is traumatized. She clamps her mouth firmly shut upon reviving to avoid a repeat of her previous double death, and immediately starts to propel herself up. Of course, it's easier said than done when one of her arms is occupied with Yona's corpse. This time, they're only a few feet away from the surface when Sumire's lungs seize up and she takes a big gulp of water. Then she's fading, fading — gone.

The whale continues to be useless.]
dawnblushed: (083)

[personal profile] dawnblushed 2020-11-12 12:20 am (UTC)(link)
[Would it kill this whale to give them a boost or something?

Anyway.

They're sinking! At least they're somewhat close to the surface when Yona comes to. Close enough that it's definitely light enough for her to know which way to go! Sweet! Up to the surface they go. Yona coughs violently, trying to clear her lungs.

—only for them to get caught in a rip current.]
siblingless: (054)

[personal profile] siblingless 2020-11-12 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
[The whale cannot hear your judgmental meta text. The whale is very lazy and may be a pillow whale. Damn.

Bad news: The rip current tears them apart. Both girls go hurtling in different directions.

Good news: Though they're heading in different directions, the current still pulls them towards the shore. They will wash up several yards away from each other, covered in kelp, algae, and a little bit of mouth slime. As this happens, the whale hums and (in a booming whale voice way) whispers:

YAY...]
dawnblushed: (045)

[personal profile] dawnblushed 2020-11-12 12:48 am (UTC)(link)
[Yona never wants to go swimming again.

Anyway. She panics when the current breaks them apart from each other, and she foolishly tries to swim against the current to catch up to Sumi - only to end up tossed about and then wash up on the shore. Wow. God.

She spits out a little bit of mouth slime, some saltwater, and a piece of kelp, then sits up.]

Yoshizawa...?

[...uh. Hm. That looks bad. She's gonna drag herself over there to see if Sumire is breathing.]
siblingless: (086)

[personal profile] siblingless 2020-11-12 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
[Sumire is laying on her back, hair fanned out around her while blood sluggishly dribbles down the side of her head from her eye injury. The water on her face is tinged with red. A lone seagull lands on her chest, stares at her, and bonks her on the forehead with its beak.

She does not move.

Hm.]
