GRAVEYARD
GRAVEYARD Well, that sucked. But no matter what your death was like—whether it was something peaceful or traumatic, you'll find yourself waking in a completely white room on the floor. Small and empty, there isn't anything else there besides an open door to walk through. But before you do that, you'll probably notice that whatever injuries you may have had, including whatever may have been the death blow, are now gone. That's exciting. Stepping out of the room, it seems that you're in a large... house? with three different floors. Everything from floor, ceiling to furniture is completely white, except for the drawings that are plastered to the walls in each room. These are all colorful, drawn in colored pencils and crayon, and resemble a child's drawing. The other notable thing are the windows. While they're present all around the building, looking out of them only shows TV static. Besides that, everything is furnished with the absolute bare minimum of each room. The first floor is all typical common areas one would find in a house. There's a kitchen, living room area, laundry room, dining room, and a main hallway where the stairs are. There are also helpful drawings in these rooms that show the rooms much more lavishly decorated than they actually are. There's a door that appears to be the way to exit the building, but it leads you to somewhere that's not the front lawn. The second floor consists of nothing but twenty bedrooms. Each room has one queen sized bed, an empty dresser, and an attached bathroom with only a sink, toilet, and shower. Like the first floor, each bedroom has drawn pictures that show it looking much more lavish than it actually does. Thanks for nothing, artist! The third floor only has two rooms. One appears to be a home office with nothing but a desk and two chairs, one behind it and one in front of it. On the desk are some blank pieces of paper along with crayons, as well as a written note next to them that says PLEASE DRAW THE PREFERRED ANIMAL :). It looks like this is how you ask for a meeting with a Leader. The other room is much larger, and it's completely empty save for the many drawings lining its walls— in fact, the walls are covered in them, much more than in any other room. On closer inspection, though, it seems like these aren't actually drawings? The papers seem to be showing scenes from the living area. Everything from inside the hotel to the areas beyond the bridge are visible here. However, when curfew hits on Thursday nights, they revert to being normal drawings! Except for the fact that they're all drawings of stick figures being murdered in various ways. Well. At least there's plenty of things to draw with, if you get bored. As of Week 3, each person has the ability to send messages on their PHS unlocked. |

Oh yikes that's a close call.
She reaches over, grabs her by the wrist, and yanks her the rest of the way into the whale's mouth before she can get crushed.
...
Wow, it's dark in here.]
no subject
They cannot see shit, can they?
Sumire bumps into Yona when she's yanked all the way into the whale's mouth, sending both of them spinning — until they hit the whale's tongue. It is very............................... slimy. And not great for the little bit of exposed skin on their faces. Ew.]
no subject
But there is absolutely no source of light in here, so yeah, I assume they can't see shit. Yona shudders when they hit that slimy, gross tongue, and tries to get a look around the creature's mouth, but...
...it's so dark... she keeps one hand holding on to Sumire's, then puts the other out to feel around as they pick their way through the whale's mouth. Okay, what's making its mouth hurt... if they can't see it they'll just have to feel it...]
no subject
It seems like she has the same idea as Yona, however. Keeping firm grip on Yona's hand, she starts to feel around the whale's mouth as carefully as possible. There's more slime, more baleen, more fleshy little chunks, something long and metallic — wait. What?
Sumire starts tugging Yona's hand in that direction at the same time the fleshy bits around them start to... twitch.
This is just going to keep getting grosser and grosser, ain't it?]
no subject
Unfortunately, they don't really get to go far before the flesh bits around them begin twitching. She doesn't understand what's happening, or why - but, unfortunately, they've triggered the whale's gag reflex by standing on the back of its tongue.
There's a brief instance where the gloom around them brightens up as the whale's mouth opens -
And then they're spewed out of there, along with some algae and kelp and other gross bits. Yona's head is spinning.]
no subject
This may as well happen.
More air bubbles burst out of Sumire's mouth as she's spewed out of the whale's mouth, her tube and tank dislodged and absolutely covered in algae and kelp. Her googles are splattered with blood and she cannot see shit, my dude. She may or may not smack Yona as she flails around, trying to stop herself from wildly careening away.
In the background, the whale offers a single, empathetic: OH, NO.]
no subject
laughs)
OH NO indeed. Sumire's smack actually knocks Yona's goggles and mouthpiece off. They're both struggling here. Yona grasps wildly at her hand, then kicks to propel them both upwards to the surface.
Air, air... they're going to have to rethink their strategy, maybe. Provided they don't drown first.]
no subject
These binches are drowning several yards away from the surface.
Which means they are sinking back down since their corpses haven't met the right conditions to float just yet.
Unfortunate!]
no subject
...and then not dead! Yona comes to abruptly, her eyes snapping open and her lips parting to suck in a breath on instinct. This unfortunately only fills her mouth and lungs with more water, and though she tries to swim for the surface, she uh.
She drowns. Again.
And sinks further down.
Again.]
no subject
With her goggles smeared with blood and her mouthpiece covered in algae, it doesn't take too long before water fills her lungs and she drowns.
Again.
They're going down, they're yelling timber...]
no subject
She's.
She's really starting to hate swimming?
Anyway, she tries, when she wakes up again not long after Sumire dies - but some of the kelp has wound itself around her ankles, which is now making swimming a little difficult.
She drowns again.]
no subject
Yona's dead hand slips out of Sumire's grasp for a brief instance. This, in turn, causes her to freak out, push her goggles up and swim after her. She manages to snag her by the arm just in time to— you guessed it! Drown again.
Oops.]
no subject
Sometimes you don't know which way is up and which is down.
So when Yona revives in a panic, she's not actually sure which way to be swimming. She manages to get her feet semi-free of the kelp, and kicks to propel the two of them...
...uh, down. Oops.
By the time she realizes it and tries to correct it, she's drowning as she turns her head up toward the surface.]
no subject
Sumire sucks in a breath when she revives — which, of course, is a total mistake. Her lungs fill with water immediately as she struggles to keep Yona close to her, slinging one arm around her midriff to keep her from slipping even further down. Unfortunately, it does not take long for her to die.
Again.
Somewhere in the distance, the whale idly comments: HM.]
no subject
Okay. Sumire's arm is around her midriff, which makes it easier for her to find her arm and pull her along. This time, she actually gets going for the surface in the right direction! She doesn't even take in a lungful of water right away!
However they are definitely not close enough to the surface for her to actually get there before she drowns again. At least this time she's like, halfway there when she starts to sink!]
no subject
At this point, Sumire is more frustrated than she is traumatized. She clamps her mouth firmly shut upon reviving to avoid a repeat of her previous double death, and immediately starts to propel herself up. Of course, it's easier said than done when one of her arms is occupied with Yona's corpse. This time, they're only a few feet away from the surface when Sumire's lungs seize up and she takes a big gulp of water. Then she's fading, fading — gone.
The whale continues to be useless.]
no subject
Anyway.
They're sinking! At least they're somewhat close to the surface when Yona comes to. Close enough that it's definitely light enough for her to know which way to go! Sweet! Up to the surface they go. Yona coughs violently, trying to clear her lungs.
—only for them to get caught in a rip current.]
no subject
Bad news: The rip current tears them apart. Both girls go hurtling in different directions.
Good news: Though they're heading in different directions, the current still pulls them towards the shore. They will wash up several yards away from each other, covered in kelp, algae, and a little bit of mouth slime. As this happens, the whale hums and (in a booming whale voice way) whispers:
YAY...]
no subject
Anyway. She panics when the current breaks them apart from each other, and she foolishly tries to swim against the current to catch up to Sumi - only to end up tossed about and then wash up on the shore. Wow. God.
She spits out a little bit of mouth slime, some saltwater, and a piece of kelp, then sits up.]
Yoshizawa...?
[...uh. Hm. That looks bad. She's gonna drag herself over there to see if Sumire is breathing.]
no subject
She does not move.
Hm.]
no subject
Hey! Stop that!
[SHE NEEDS TO CHECK IF SHE'S BREATHING.]
no subject
This seagull is fearless. It does not care for her shooing hands.
Sumire still does not move.]
no subject
And then leans down to put her ear near Sumire's lips to see if it sounds like she's breathing.]
no subject
Sumire is not breathing. Terrible.]
no subject
Well.
Yona read a book with a CPR kiss as a plot point when she was alive, so. First time for everything! She eases Sumire's lips open, then puts her hands over her chest and presses down once or twice. (She doesn't know how many compressions she's supposed to do. She's not CPR certified, she just read a romance novel.)
Then she leans down to put her lips over hers to help her breathe!]
