[ when soo-won makes his wish... nothing happens! wow. what a rip-off. have fun waiting there.

however, assuming he leaves the building at some point... suddenly, a figure appears on the ground next to him. it's as if they jumped and landed from the roof, although if soo-won thinks on it, he may realize he didn't actually see any jump.

in any case, given the horns and ears, this person is almost certainly goat. ]

What is an "IOU"?

[ also, if soo-won is looking closely, he may notice that where one would normally have molars, goat has rows of fangs in the back of their mouth. ]

[he is waiting there for a bit actually - and he cannot help but feel like it's similar to the feeling of hiryuu's shrine.

though he's proven very much wrong when he's suddenly joined by who he can only assume is Goat...... and he offers up an easygoing smile, as well as the cup of tea he brought]

What it sounds like. "IOU" spoken slower to mean I Owe You. In case there was a shopkeep at the Emporium, I wouldn't have wanted them to feel like their store was ransacked, so I could at least give them my name and an intention of repayment.

I am Goat... That's good. Even if the owner isn't there, it's wrong to take things without payment.

[ they're happy! soo-won didn't steal! ... from the emporium, anyway.

though they stare blankly at the cup of tea. ]

[he nods in agreement. in truth he'll probably seek to repay the innkeeper eventually but. later. when he's leaving and doesn't have to reveal he took a knife.]

Mm, then I'm Soo-won. Do you know anything about me? Or shall I be introducing myself?

[do they not know what tea is.... he tilts his head]

Have you had tea before? Or is it not to your tastes?

I know only what you have told others.

[ they shake their head. ]

... I have just not drunk anything during my time here.

[ they weren't expecting to be offered... sustenance. ]

Is that the case for all of you...? Have the other Leaders had any food or drink in their time here?

No, I've seen the others drink... Fox, Rabbit, and Tiger like tea, I think. I mostly see Wolf drink water, and after yesterday, a drink I don't know... It was what was put into your bags, though.

Mm, that's true. I'm rather fond of tea myself. Would you like to try it?

Or is there something else you'd prefer - I'd be happy to bring along a different snack next time.

[he offers up a smile, nodding as he starts them on a slow walk around the town]

Do we know anything new regarding the collecting of nova? I understand it hasn't been that long, but I thought it worth checking.

[retellers]

[ yes but if you ask the other npcs they might say that goat, in particular, seems to know jack shit.

they follow along. ]

Something regarding the nova will happen in a few days. We're not sure yet what, but... we can feel something.

Oh...? Do you happen to know if it's anything that we can assist with?

Your efforts will be what gathers the nova... but we will try and make the process as clear as we can, when the time comes.

It seems I already lost a memory this morning... and there's another odd feeling I can't quite shake. Do you think I might be losing more in the days to come?

I wouldn't suppose you would know if there's a pace to it...

We hoped that with our memories, the process for all of you would be slowed down... but it'll still happen. [ their shoulders droop. ] I'm sorry we couldn't be of more help...

[ but they think for a moment. ]

I don't know if it'll be consistent. But it shouldn't be anything like with what happened to us, I think.

[he offers up a small, understanding smile]

It's alright. I'm not angry, if that's a concern you possess. You needn't apologize for something that is out of your control.

May I ask you more about that - what happened to your memories? Did you elect to have them taken from you in a trade for ours - or did it happen as soon as you arrived?

I don't recall exactly... I know it was willing, but I don't remember the process.

Even if it's your duty to answer questions, I hope you'll refrain from doing anything painful on my behalf.

[if this line of questioning makes them uncomfortable - soo-won isn't the type to stop from asking questions, but he'll understand that in something as personal as this, it's not necessary to advance his interests.

[ no painful things on soo-won's behalf. duly noted, soo-won. and also promptly thrown out of the window, probably. ]

... I don't know. Everything feels unfamiliar to me, but... um, it seems that may be how I always am. The other Leaders know so much, like what a "condom" is. Though none of them would explain to me what "knocking someone up" means...
