GRAVEYARD Well, that sucked. But no matter what your death was like—whether it was something peaceful or traumatic, you'll find yourself waking in a completely white room on the floor. Small and empty, there isn't anything else there besides an open door to walk through. But before you do that, you'll probably notice that whatever injuries you may have had, including whatever may have been the death blow, are now gone. That's exciting. Stepping out of the room, it seems that you're in a large... house? with three different floors. Everything from floor, ceiling to furniture is completely white, except for the drawings that are plastered to the walls in each room. These are all colorful, drawn in colored pencils and crayon, and resemble a child's drawing. The other notable thing are the windows. While they're present all around the building, looking out of them only shows TV static. Besides that, everything is furnished with the absolute bare minimum of each room. The first floor is all typical common areas one would find in a house. There's a kitchen, living room area, laundry room, dining room, and a main hallway where the stairs are. There are also helpful drawings in these rooms that show the rooms much more lavishly decorated than they actually are. There's a door that appears to be the way to exit the building, but it leads you to somewhere that's not the front lawn. The second floor consists of nothing but twenty bedrooms. Each room has one queen sized bed, an empty dresser, and an attached bathroom with only a sink, toilet, and shower. Like the first floor, each bedroom has drawn pictures that show it looking much more lavish than it actually does. Thanks for nothing, artist! The third floor only has two rooms. One appears to be a home office with nothing but a desk and two chairs, one behind it and one in front of it. On the desk are some blank pieces of paper along with crayons, as well as a written note next to them that says PLEASE DRAW THE PREFERRED ANIMAL :). It looks like this is how you ask for a meeting with a Leader. The other room is much larger, and it's completely empty save for the many drawings lining its walls— in fact, the walls are covered in them, much more than in any other room. On closer inspection, though, it seems like these aren't actually drawings? The papers seem to be showing scenes from the living area. Everything from inside the hotel to the areas beyond the bridge are visible here. However, when curfew hits on Thursday nights, they revert to being normal drawings! Except for the fact that they're all drawings of stick figures being murdered in various ways. Well. At least there's plenty of things to draw with, if you get bored. As of Week 3, each person has the ability to send messages on their PHS unlocked.

He opens his mouth to say something about maybe not cooking when the last time he saw her try turned out like that, but honestly? They should just burn this fucking house down.

So he carefully steps inside and goes around the counter so he can look Sharon innocently in the face instead of guiltily everywhere else and lean his elbows on the counter. ]

Is there any point of eating anymore...? Though, I guess it being delicious is a point.

I see no reason why we shouldn't eat. I, for one, still feel hungry. And I do think eating can be one of life's greatest pleasures.

[ He feels very much the same as he always does, but that still begs the question. ]

You said you were cooking soup, right? I'll just have some of that- you don't gotta make anything special just for me.

[yeah, this is not the best place for a reunion at all, but. . . ! they will make it work. Sharon sure doesn't plan on lying down and rolling over as though there is nothing else for her to do, here]

[ Trial tea that Usagi drank and everybody was convinced she would die on the spot? She did fall asleep all through execution though so maybe it was just real strong chamomile.

It's hard to feel hungry even on the best of days, but tea and soup are at least easy on the stomach and Kano sort of trails behind Sharon while she goes about the kitchen doing kitchen things. ]

Um, hm. I sorta got voted off the island? The weakest link.

[me, oocly: I SHOULD'VE POISONED THE TEA. anyway she gets back to work cooking, but Kano's answer to her question does make her brow furrow]

Eh... I think the going theory was that I, like, shrunk a saw down all itty bitty and stabbed you in the back.

[ They were very fixated on this saw of his!! ]

I lost an honorable fight to Master Won. And as the victor, he has many duties to complete in my place.

Oh dear. . . [she giggles] And no, I don't believe he intends to take over my maidly duties. Rather, he told me he intends to discover the secrets of the Realm and ensure everyone makes it home safely.

I told him I would do what I could if I lost, so long as my consciousness persisted.

[to be frank, it was a promise she didn't quite expect to have to keep, since. . . well. there's usually no life after death. but here she is!!]

The memory I lost last week is one of the few things I could not bear to lose. I wanted it back. More than anything in the world. . . I needed it back.

[she is not looking at him as she stirs the soup, which is now simmering delightfully on the stove]

Master Won was the only one I believed would understand my motives. I didn't expect him to bow down before me, but. . .

[she trails off. and she was right, too; Soo-Won did understand. and it was because of that respect that she offered to duel him rather than just take him out while he was not paying attention. but. . . he had his own reasons for fighting to survive, and she respects those, too]

[out of the two of them, his ambitions were stronger. and while a part of that. . . aches. . . she can't help but continue to respect it]

[ lmfao Kano's just "If I had to murder someone I would kill Soo-won too, but Sharon must have a better reason than that" and she sort of did... kind of...

He looks at the pot of soup too, over at Sharon, remembering the burnt kitchen and the previous thought of her having forgotten how to cook. It couldn't have been that. That's not something somebody would kill over, even if they're Lup whose cooking means so much more to her than simply cooking. ]

Is it... that important to you, that somebody understands the reasons you do things? Instead of just doing what you can get away with?

[ That's the opposite of him. His reasons, shameful and incomprehensible, aren't things he wants anybody to understand if it means opening up a whole other can of worms. Held at knifepoint himself, he would have slit the throat of the first sleeping person he came across and then gone back to sleep, probably. ]

[she used to be like that. back in her younger years, when she wasn't anything but a killing machine. a tool without a name, to be used by her superiors to cut short the lives of those they hated. and it was 100% her desire to give Soo-Won the respect she believed he deserved that was her downfall]

Heehee. . . I suppose so. [her tone is light] But in the end, that turned out to be my greatest downfall.

In my old age, I've grown soft.

Yeah... trying getting anybody else to understand makes things dangerous. I didn't want to be right about things, you know?

[ That she wasn't snuck up on, that she hadn't been running, she was with somebody she trusted to a degree, that she fought back and it had to have been against somebody who could fight.

Me, in the first hour of trial: I bet it was Ange. ]

And, in the end, you never got that memory back, huh? Think it doesn't count if you try again?
