after she's there, a few moments later, rabbit will come walking over. ]

[ she's bouncing over, with something in her hands - a cup of shaved ice! she offers it to rabbit with a smile. ]

How are you doing? Have you been busy?

[retellers]

[ oh... they take it, and bow their head in thanks. ]

Mmhm. Although sometimes it can be quiet--thank you for this.

[infreefall]

It's no trouble! I just thought you could use a moment to relax, you know? Everyone needs a break sometimes.

What do you guys do when you're not here, anyway? Monitoring the nova or something?

[ she's joking, but like. she's also curious! ]

[retellers]

Mm, that's one way to say it. We try to keep track of how much nova the Realm is losing. We're also trying to figure out what exactly is making it lose the nova...

[ they also get to sleep in, which is nice, but they do not say that part. ]

[infreefall]

[ jealous! ]

You can do that? [ she'll just lead them toward somewhere they can sit. ] Have you found anything yet?

Nothing quite like that... although the nova isn't being taken in a much higher rate, at least, which we should be thankful for.

[infreefall]

Good! Honestly, the nova stuff's all a little confusing for me... I'm glad you guys are here to figure it out.

...Kinda disappointing that we weren't in the lead on Sunday though, isn't it? And we were so close...! [ you doesn't know anything about the nova rankings, ochako, please. ] We'll just have to try harder this week!

[retellers]

[ they were more highly ranked than rabbit was expecting, honestly. that is not something to say to their team member though. ]

Mmhm! I think that now that people have a little better idea of what it's like, we can definitely pull ahead.

[infreefall]

Mm, I hope so! I want to help you win!

[ rabbit deserves it, she thinks! i mean, she thinks they all deserve a wish honestly, but rabbit has been so stressed. let them be happy. let them rest. ]

I do think it would be easier if we knew who else was on our teams, but I know we're not supposed to tell anyone.

[retellers]

[ they tap their chin. ]

I'll be able to help with that soon.

[infreefall]

[ she tilts her head. ]

You mean, you'll be able to tell us who else is under you? But I thought you couldn't do that.

[retellers]

I'll be able to hint at it.

[infreefall]

That's something! Does that mean we'll be able to tell the others, too?

[ whatever the answer is to that, she continues on. ]

It must be hard having to keep all those secrets, huh?

[retellers]

I think that... you could tell a few people, but not many. The more people you tell, the more it'll start affecting things here. [ they make a sort of waving motion with their hand. ] Like a wave that just gets bigger.

But aha, it's a little annoying.

[infreefall]

Ohhh. Is that why we aren't supposed to? Because it'll affect the nova?

[ a little alarming, but nothing they can't manage. ochako can keep a secret, if she has to. ]

So... what don't you have to keep secret? [ better not to dwell on the annoying things for too long. ] Like... oh! Did you get a quirk like Swan-san?

[retellers]

Oh! Right, I keep forgetting not all of you have those. It's like... a power or ability that no one else has. In my world, almost everyone has one!

[ she holds up a hand to show the little pads on her fingertips. ]

Mine is Zero Gravity. It means I can completely remove the gravity of something I touch, when it's activated.

[retellers]

Really? Can yo sh-- ah.

[ they momentarily forgot about the power nerfs... ]

Um. I was given some powers. But, I think some of Swan's were powers they already had from before.

[infreefall]

[ she smiles, apparently unconcerned. ]

I'll show you first thing when it's working again, okay?

So Swan-san can really teleport, huh? That's so cool... It's a really rare quirk, where I'm from, but it sounds pretty fun, and useful! [ the way they can just appear wherever they want...! ] What powers did you get, then? Ah - if you can tell me. You don't have to!

[retellers]

O-oh, it's okay. I can do some things with the earth. And the thing with summoning items... there are some things things, but I haven't actually done any of them yet.

But they were all given to me, so I guess I didn't have any powers before I got here...

[infreefall]

Oh, nice! You must be pretty strong, then, huh?

[ elemental quirks are always like that, it seems! ]

There’s nothing wrong with that, though. You don’t need a quirk to help people - it just makes it easier.

[retellers]

I-I don't think I'm very strong. The others are a lot better at it than I am.

[ but they smile. ]

Quirks are common where you're from?

Don’t people say there’s always someone better? It doesn’t mean you’re not still strong.

[ she’ll choose to believe in rabbit-san. ]

Yep! It’s more common to have one than not, in my generation. It’s supposed to be part of evolution or something. But I’ve only seen a few that are related to manipulating the earth!

[retellers]

[ they just smile at the first comment, before focusing on quirks. ]

Oh, wow... so you're just born with them? When do you find out that you have them?

[ they are imagining a tiny newborn setting things on fire. ]
