I think that... you could tell a few people, but not many. The more people you tell, the more it'll start affecting things here. [ they make a sort of waving motion with their hand. ] Like a wave that just gets bigger.
I'll show you first thing when it's working again, okay?
So Swan-san can really teleport, huh? That's so cool... It's a really rare quirk, where I'm from, but it sounds pretty fun, and useful! [ the way they can just appear wherever they want...! ] What powers did you get, then? Ah - if you can tell me. You don't have to!
O-oh, it's okay. I can do some things with the earth. And the thing with summoning items... there are some things things, but I haven't actually done any of them yet.
But they were all given to me, so I guess I didn't have any powers before I got here...
Donβt people say thereβs always someone better? It doesnβt mean youβre not still strong.
[ sheβll choose to believe in rabbit-san. ]
Yep! Itβs more common to have one than not, in my generation. Itβs supposed to be part of evolution or something. But Iβve only seen a few that are related to manipulating the earth!
Technically I guess we are? But they don't really manifest until we're about four years old or so, and then figuring out how to control it can be pretty difficult.
Let me know if you need any help, okay? I may not have my quirk, but I can try to help you figure yours out!
...But no, it's not normal at all. If it doesnβt manifest by, like, age five or six, they decide youβre quirkless. Itβs pretty uncommon now, though.
Yeah, haha. It can get pretty bad... Like, my classmate Deku-kun just got his quirk a little while before we started high school, and he's always breaking bones because his body can't handle it or something... It's pretty painful to watch sometimes, but it is amazing how he never lets that stop him, you know?
Then again, "plus ultra" is our school's slogan. But if Deku-kun can do all that, I know you'll be fine with your quirk, too!
Mm. It's pretty scary when he goes that far, but he's getting better at controlling it now. I'm just glad you guys don't have to deal with something like that.
Mm! He's a lot stronger than I am, but I'm not planning to be left behind!
Isn't that a good thing, though? The younger we start, the more experience we can get before we start working on our own, so we'll know the best ways to help people.

But aha, it's a little annoying.

[ a little alarming, but nothing they can't manage. ochako can keep a secret, if she has to. ]
So... what don't you have to keep secret? [ better not to dwell on the annoying things for too long. ] Like... oh! Did you get a quirk like Swan-san?
no subject
... quirk?

[ she holds up a hand to show the little pads on her fingertips. ]
Mine is Zero Gravity. It means I can completely remove the gravity of something I touch, when it's activated.

[ they momentarily forgot about the power nerfs... ]
Um. I was given some powers. But, I think some of Swan's were powers they already had from before.

[ elemental quirks are always like that, it seems! ]
Thereβs nothing wrong with that, though. You donβt need a quirk to help people - it just makes it easier.

[ but they smile. ]
Quirks are common where you're from?

Oh, wow... so you're just born with them? When do you find out that you have them?
[ they are imagining a tiny newborn setting things on fire. ]
no subject
You didn't have any problems with yours, did you?
no subject
no subject
[ there's a sympathetic smile. ]
I'm glad, though! Getting a quirk late can be kind of dangerous sometimes. I'd hate to have to worry more about you, Rabbit-san!
no subject
... is it normal for people to get them late?

...But no, it's not normal at all. If it doesnβt manifest by, like, age five or six, they decide youβre quirkless. Itβs pretty uncommon now, though.

[ this is fascinating. ]
I guess if you didn't grow up with it, then you'd have trouble figuring out how it works.

His bones?!

He must be very strong to be able to handle that.
no subject
I think so. Sometimes I wish he didn't have to be, but it just shows how determined he is to help people, doesn't it?
no subject
[ it's pretty amazing. ]
You're all so young, too.
