And it's fine, don't make it weird. Blanca can handle the shower-tub, Shiro is going for that sink and mirror. Is there a medicine cabinet behind the mirror? Also, drawers on the sink? He's looking for any little nook or cranny that might hold another note.
Also, if there's steam on the mirror, he's going to write 'hello' in it.]
[ I'm going to do the shower curtain reveal after, because suspense.
There's no steam on the mirror yet, somehow, but there is a medicine cabinet behind the mirror! There's an old toothbrush, an empty tube of toothpaste, and a number 8 billiard ball in there. As you do. There's no drawer underneath the sink, but it is one of those sink cupboards! Before that, Shiro might notice that the sink is full of gross, murky water. There seems to be something blocking the drain. Let's open the cupboard first, though!
It's a giant rat. It, uh. It is not happy to see Shiro.
The shower curtain turns back, revealing... no one. There's only the shower running... and the sound of someone sobbing. ]
[Hilariously, Shiro is thinking pretty much the same thing Blanca is. "It's all right, we don't mean any harm." He's just going to word it differently, as he crouches down to see the rat a little better.]
Hey there, little guy. Don't worry, we're friends.
[Will the rat eat astronaut food? If Shiro tries to feed it freeze-dried mac and cheese, will it eat it?]
[ There's nothing visible in the shower even now that it's no longer running. At least it's cleaner than the rest of the room? The tub is almost sparkling white in the light. The sobbing does continue, though...
The rat does not care for offerings, possibly because it's a rat cornered by someone attempting to feed it. It does as most cornered rats does, which is to lash out and attempt to bite Shiro so it can flee. ]
[ I can't believe these guys are going to have to fight a rabid rat in a bathroom. Because the rat is absolutely attempting to fight back even despite the judo chop, scrambling and scratching and biting in a small enclosed space. The rat is doing that stupid animal thing where they don't notice the open door behind themselves immediately.
Through all that, the sobbing continues. This is stupid. ]
[What the FCK. Cannot believe I have to add rat scratches to Blanca's wound list for trial strip search.
Anyway, HE IS SIX FOOT FIVE, TWO HUNDRED AND FORTY POUNDS, AND THIRTY-TWO YEARS OLD, and he's going to fight this rat in this haunted bathroom with both his fists.]
Mister Fujimoto! Check the other places quickly!
[And also the door that just opened on them maybe.]
[He will hurry back to the hall to go to the bedroom though. Plz say there are clues there. And plz say they're not both getting rabies, week 2 doesn't need 2 killers.]
[ they won't get rabies but I'm absolutely making you both write "rat scratches" on the strip search. possibly rat bites.
Anywho, they leave the bathroom fully alone after the rat attack, heading off to the room labeled "bed".
They will glimpse at new writing on the walls once more. These ones simply say "i wanna go home", "stop" and "mom".
It's a simple looking bedroom; there's a large bed, a nightstand, and a dresser for clothes. The windows, like all others, are boarded up, so the only light is coming from a flickering lamp on the nightstand, casting an odd shadow everywhere.
There is a figure on the bed comforting a weeping child. They both seem to flicker with the light. ]
Blanca probably dislikes the wall writing way more than the rat, honestly. And also the eerie figures on the bed. It's familiar in a very distant way?]
Are these... someone's memories...?
[He points to the dresser.] Check there. [He will go to check the nightstand.
But, like, in an apologetic, polite way since the ghosties are right there. He even says "excuse me"!]
[ Well, Shiro will probably be a little thrown off stepping any closer to the ghosts, because the woman lifts her head. It's Yuri's face staring back at Shiro, a raised eyebrow and teasing smile as she pets through the child's hair in silence.
Blanca can have a good time passing by the ghosts and not looking at them instead! The first drawer he will look into...has some women's underwear in it. Wow. I assume this won't stop him, so if he moves the underwear in any way, it'll reveal a single torn page. It's different than the other two notes he's collected thus far, and seems to be part of a lullaby. There's at least two other drawers if he wants to keep searching. ]
I'm afraid we don't have ghosts where I'm from--not that we know of, at least.
[Wow, good luck with that, Shiro.
He is admittedly surprised to find underwear!! WOW! But also it doesn't bother him outside of the fact he feels a bit bad it's probably a dead person's...
So he just carefully pushes that aside ahem, and takes out the paper to keep. Is the lullaby familiar to him? Also, he will indeed check the other two drawers.]
He is absolutely stumbling backwards in surprise, a look of absolute shock on his face. He won't stop until he collides with something behind him either. Is that a wall? Is that Blanca? Who knows!]
[ The ghost lifts a finger to her lips in a shushing motion, but doesn't otherwise react to Shiro's panic.
The melody does not seem familiar, but it's fairly simple. Maybe six notes, at most. There's... oddly enough, what looks like some kind of uniform in the second drawer? There are leather pauldrons on the shoulders of the shirt, cargo pants with ample pockets, and combat boots along with gloves. There's nothing in any of the many pockets except a gold coin in a currency Blanca won't recognize.
The third drawer has a child's clothes alongside an adult's lab coat? Huh. Looking into the lab coat pocket, Blanca will find a small note. It reads:
[A uniform... It seems dated, in a way, to him, but he's a man familiar with uniforms that resemble something like this in a way. He'll keep the coin just in case. Hope they don't get mad about looting.
He's not a fan of the lab coat with the children's clothes, though. Wow, there is SO MUCH in this house he isn't a fan of at all. It's worse than the New York underground.
He's looking over the note when Shiro stumbles into him, and he tenses, grabbing Shiro by the shoulder.]
[ Haha, anyway, now that Blanca's looking at the ghost, he may notice her staring back. His wife smiles back at him from the bed, the gentle tilt of her head making her hair fall in front of her eye fully.
The ghost still looks like Yuri to Shiro. The child seems almost featureless comparatively, especially with their face still hidden. ]
He doesn't see what Shiro sees, no, but his fist tightens slightly in Shiro's shoulder. There's no way. He tries to rationalize it, though; there isn't any possible way...]
Natalia...?
[And then very suddenly and sternly, he says,] We should leave this room. Don't look, let's go. [He tries to turn Shiro away.] It isn't real. [He doesn't believe in magic, or powers, or ghosts.]
Listen--look at me. The "painting"--was it in the room you were first in? Was there a painting in there? [There hadn't been one in his room, or any of these.] I need you to go back, and I need you to look behind, or inside of it for another piece of paper.
And then I need you to meet me back up here for the last door.
[ The ghosts on the bed don't move. For the record? I'm assuming Blanca left the bedroom at the same time as Shiro, so:
The mansion seems almost brightly lit with all the graffiti around. There doesn't seem to be any important new ones right now, though. Inside the lounge room, the painting is still there next to the fireplace. Except... the fire place is lit now? Huh. Looking behind the painting, Shiro will find the piece of paper! This one reads: (1). 29, left. ]

So instead, Blanca is going to frown at the sobbing water before bending down to turn it off so it's not running. Stop that, Ghost of Depression.]
It's all right. We don't mean any harm.
[Anything in the shower? As, like, Shiro fights off a rabid rat right behind him.]

judo chopping
the hell out of the alpha rat jumping at Shiro!! BAD RAT, NO!]

[He's saying it more for his benefit. It's not real, focus on what's real, don't get caught by the trap.
"I should go back. I need to say sorry."
He shakes his head, and he speaks to Blanca.]
Yeah, there was. I'll- I'll go there.

He waits until Shiro is down the stairs, just to be sure nothing crashes on top of the man, and then he turns for the ??? door.
If it'll open, he'll open it cautiously and peer inside without stepping over the threshold.
