He is absolutely stumbling backwards in surprise, a look of absolute shock on his face. He won't stop until he collides with something behind him either. Is that a wall? Is that Blanca? Who knows!]
[ The ghost lifts a finger to her lips in a shushing motion, but doesn't otherwise react to Shiro's panic.
The melody does not seem familiar, but it's fairly simple. Maybe six notes, at most. There's... oddly enough, what looks like some kind of uniform in the second drawer? There are leather pauldrons on the shoulders of the shirt, cargo pants with ample pockets, and combat boots along with gloves. There's nothing in any of the many pockets except a gold coin in a currency Blanca won't recognize.
The third drawer has a child's clothes alongside an adult's lab coat? Huh. Looking into the lab coat pocket, Blanca will find a small note. It reads:
[A uniform... It seems dated, in a way, to him, but he's a man familiar with uniforms that resemble something like this in a way. He'll keep the coin just in case. Hope they don't get mad about looting.
He's not a fan of the lab coat with the children's clothes, though. Wow, there is SO MUCH in this house he isn't a fan of at all. It's worse than the New York underground.
He's looking over the note when Shiro stumbles into him, and he tenses, grabbing Shiro by the shoulder.]
[ Haha, anyway, now that Blanca's looking at the ghost, he may notice her staring back. His wife smiles back at him from the bed, the gentle tilt of her head making her hair fall in front of her eye fully.
The ghost still looks like Yuri to Shiro. The child seems almost featureless comparatively, especially with their face still hidden. ]
He doesn't see what Shiro sees, no, but his fist tightens slightly in Shiro's shoulder. There's no way. He tries to rationalize it, though; there isn't any possible way...]
Natalia...?
[And then very suddenly and sternly, he says,] We should leave this room. Don't look, let's go. [He tries to turn Shiro away.] It isn't real. [He doesn't believe in magic, or powers, or ghosts.]
Listen--look at me. The "painting"--was it in the room you were first in? Was there a painting in there? [There hadn't been one in his room, or any of these.] I need you to go back, and I need you to look behind, or inside of it for another piece of paper.
And then I need you to meet me back up here for the last door.
[ The ghosts on the bed don't move. For the record? I'm assuming Blanca left the bedroom at the same time as Shiro, so:
The mansion seems almost brightly lit with all the graffiti around. There doesn't seem to be any important new ones right now, though. Inside the lounge room, the painting is still there next to the fireplace. Except... the fire place is lit now? Huh. Looking behind the painting, Shiro will find the piece of paper! This one reads: (1). 29, left. ]
[ The ghosts are still in the bedroom! They have not moved.
Blanca, being the first in, gets the joy of the swinging blade door trap. He's so tall and big but he is also fast so. Anna, I'm giving you the choice there.
Otherwise, the room is completely empty... save for a safe. Possibly the ghost child did not call it a safe room because it was very much not initially safe. ]
[for the record, i almost had him step inside but then was like "maybe zia will surprise me with a bolt through the chest" and here we are
I'm mean, so Blanca is going to take a good ol' slice to his stupid dorito body. He's quick, but the door is small, and he's too big, and also Shiro is behind him; when he tries to leap back, he bumps right into the other man.]
Get back!
[It doesn't get him too bad maybe, a little deep across the chest under his collar. He doesn't crumple, but he bends over, trying to heft his shirt up to press into his chest.]
[ luckily for both of them, there's nothing else that seems to be immediately triggered in the room, and no spooky haunted things waiting for them. it's just ... a safe. with a turn dial. ]
[He waves his not-full, not-bloody hand dismissively at Shiro.]
Thank you, but I'm--I'll manage. We shouldn't waste time in this place. Did you find the note?
[He squints in the room; the smile is wry and a little tight.]
I'm afraid it's on you with clean hands, Mister Fujimoto. Here. [He digs out the other two papers and hands them to Shiro.] I'll cover you. Do you know how to work a safe? I'll show you.
[He's a big boy, but he'll stand by Shiro to make sure nothing else fucking jumps them while the man tries the safe--from behind anyway. He can't do something about the box blowing up.
He leans around Shiro's shoulder to peer at the key and the flask.]
Nicely done. The key for the door. Let's hurry. "Toad"? What do you think that's for?
[TIME TO RUN BACK TO THE PLAY ROOM WITH THE DOOR.]
[ The key works on the door in the library. Running around like that, they must be getting hot. But that's fine, because behind the door are stone stairs to a secret basement! Secret dungeon. It's hard to tell with these secret locations.
There's no torch to light their way, but once again helpful arrows pointing downward show up in blue graffiti. Once they get to the basement, there are two doors. One directly in front of them, which is open slightly, and one to their left. For the sake of time, you guys COMPLETELY skipped the puzzle to open the left door so it won't budge no matter how hard they try. So. Forward it is.
Do they do anything before stepping into the secret room? ]
WELL, they are definitely going into the secret room.]
Considering the last door had a surprise, be careful, Mister Fujimoto. I would suggest allowing me to go first in case, but I get the impression you'll veto my recommendation.
[ There's no horrible trap here! The room looks like a private lab or study; there are bookshelves against the wall, science materials on a table, a dusty computer in a corner...
But, uh. Probably of more importance are Sora and Alex, each currently floating in a tube in a strange, blue liquid. The two tubes are side by side. They don't seem to be awake yet. ]
[Today is just "hit all of Shiro's personal triggers" day, isn't it? Because Shiro looks absolutely horrified for a few moments, and it's only when he heard Blanca speak that Shiro finally snaps out of it.
And yeah he's absolutely taking the fire poker to one of the tubes and trying to smash it open. Coinflip says Alex is the first one he'll try to free.]

[He's saying it more for his benefit. It's not real, focus on what's real, don't get caught by the trap.
"I should go back. I need to say sorry."
He shakes his head, and he speaks to Blanca.]
Yeah, there was. I'll- I'll go there.
[RIP his clue was behind the painting probably. He'll go back and check. And he's careful not to step in the circle too.]

He waits until Shiro is down the stairs, just to be sure nothing crashes on top of the man, and then he turns for the ??? door.
If it'll open, he'll open it cautiously and peer inside without stepping over the threshold.
Hewwo, gwosts?]

[Down he goes! But he's not going to complain, not after seeing all of that. In fact, he's going to scramble up to check on Blanca.]
Here, lemme see it. I'm a doctor.

(2) 14, right
(1). 29, left]

[You're not off the hook yet, Blanca. Shiro will absolutely check those wounds later. Right now though, escaping spooky mansion is vital.]
I think we need to do them in numbered order. So 1, then 2, then 3.
[That's the order he's going to try first.]

"toad". ]
