[ The key works on the door in the library. Running around like that, they must be getting hot. But that's fine, because behind the door are stone stairs to a secret basement! Secret dungeon. It's hard to tell with these secret locations.
There's no torch to light their way, but once again helpful arrows pointing downward show up in blue graffiti. Once they get to the basement, there are two doors. One directly in front of them, which is open slightly, and one to their left. For the sake of time, you guys COMPLETELY skipped the puzzle to open the left door so it won't budge no matter how hard they try. So. Forward it is.
Do they do anything before stepping into the secret room? ]
WELL, they are definitely going into the secret room.]
Considering the last door had a surprise, be careful, Mister Fujimoto. I would suggest allowing me to go first in case, but I get the impression you'll veto my recommendation.
[ There's no horrible trap here! The room looks like a private lab or study; there are bookshelves against the wall, science materials on a table, a dusty computer in a corner...
But, uh. Probably of more importance are Sora and Alex, each currently floating in a tube in a strange, blue liquid. The two tubes are side by side. They don't seem to be awake yet. ]
[Today is just "hit all of Shiro's personal triggers" day, isn't it? Because Shiro looks absolutely horrified for a few moments, and it's only when he heard Blanca speak that Shiro finally snaps out of it.
And yeah he's absolutely taking the fire poker to one of the tubes and trying to smash it open. Coinflip says Alex is the first one he'll try to free.]
[ this is hilarious because anna's notif popped up as i wrote this but. yea shiro gets electrocuted because the things are still on and he's hitting them with a metal thing. it's not a harsh shock but. it is. one.
the computer will turn on! and there's already a prompt on the screen that asks if blanca wants to drain the tubes. if only he'd gotten to it before shiro got electrocuted.

[ The tubes draining should be enough to awaken thing one and thing two, should they feel like tagging. There's no immediate button on the tubes themselves for release, though now that they're drained it seems like the power is off. Also, there are scratch marks ... on the inside of the tube? That look like they were made with human nails.
That's normal.
Anyway, either one of you presses the other button on the computer to open the tubes or they can try to smash it from the inside, it's whatever they want. Either way, as Sora and Alex wake up, they'll feel the effects of whatever they were inhaling tenfold. They've kept their wounds from before, and if Alex wants to look, she'll find she still has the bracelet with accompanying note. There's no sign of the plushie, though.
[alex is asleep, and sora himself is just kind of vibin' inside this tube. he should absolutely be asleep but he has his eyes half-open, the sword in his left hand and a larger tentacle-shaped burn on his right arm. and the splatter-burns on his leggies because please, ftlog, wear pants that cover your ankles and shins. regardless, it seems like he's not entirely connected to what's going on and he'll stare blankly out at shiro and blanca while touching the glass with his free hand.
Well, Blanca is buff even if he is wounded, so he has no qualms being a himbo and taking up the poker Shiro dropped. Idk if you are supposed to touch shocked metal after but let's pretend.
He hefts the poker up with a hiss and smashes Sora's tube first, blow heavy, low near the legs so it won't shatter so bad on Sora. And then he'll swing downward farther up bit by bit to break more.
Hopefully, that works since he'll turn to do the same to Alex's after.]
Sora! Can you hear me?! [Oh, I guess he'll have to climb up to help sneepy Alex.] Miss Alex?
Mister Fujimoto, will you assist Sora? We should leave as soon as possible.

If they start moving them out of the room, though, they'll notice smoke coming from the stairwell.
[crunch crunch goes the glass. blanca's going to have to help alex out and when his own tube breaks it wakes him up just enough to stumble and almost fall facefirst to the ground. he's quickly shifting his stance almost immediately though, sword held in both hands as he looks around.]
Where did it go? [it's the first question he asks, but he frowns.] There were these monsters...and the test tubes...our friends...[he's not explaining very well, but only because going from a suspension tube to zia's very important fire is pretty obvious.]
