[ elsa will get a message telling her one thing: forest. wow, helpful.

but if she makes an attempt to look in the vast forest, at some point a bird will come and find her. it flies around her, as if trying to get her attention--if she follows it, it eventually takes her to a figure lying on the ground.

[showyourself]

[she DOES make an attempt to look in the vast forest! elsa likes the forest a whole bunch—and follows the little bird easily when he comes.



oh no.

she rushes to his side, and kneels next to him.]

Are you okay?

[retellers]

[ they hold up a hand, on which the bird perches, before it flies away. they look to elsa. ]

I am fine.

[showyourself]

You don't look fine, Goat. [she's fussing over him] Have you been laying out here alone the whole time, or... do you have somewhere else that you go?

[retellers]

I have spent much of my time this week here.

[showyourself]

Right... right here?

[she's fussing more.]

How do you feel? What hurts? I can bring you some things.

[retellers]

In the forest.

[ they like the forest! ]

I am fine. It will pass.

[showyourself]

You're clearly not fine! Don't be stubborn. [ahhhh. she scoots over to beside them, and gently puts a hand to their brow.]

[retellers]

[ well, they don't have a fever or anything, so they just stare (maybe, it's hard to tell with the mask) blankly at her as she does that. ]

[showyourself]

Can you eat? Or drink? I brought the hot chocolate. I can prop you up enough to drink it. Oh, do you eat and drink? I never thought to ask...

[retellers]

[ they sit up, albeit stiffly and wincing a bit. ]

I can eat and drink, yes...

[showyourself]

[as they sit up, she scoots behind him, supporting him from behind.]

Here. Lean on me. [and just like that, a cup of hot chocolate is in his hands.]

There. Isn't that better?

[retellers]

[ they hold onto it. ]

It is unnecessary... but thank you.

[showyourself]

Maybe. But does it hurt less?

[retellers]

... I suppose...

[showyourself]

Good.

[there's an exhale of satisfaction.]

I don't want you to think of pain relief as unnecessary, Goat.

[she closes her eyes as he leans against her, drinking hot cocoa, and lets her mind wander. He didn't really seem like the talky type.]

[retellers]

[ elsa is correct, as they remain silent, sipping at the drink. ]

[showyourself]

[after a little bit, she starts softly humming to herself, snips of songs, bars and chords.]

Comfortable?

[retellers]

I suppose.

[showyourself]

Do you remember anything about yourself?

[retellers]

Should I...?

[showyourself]

...Do you want to?

[retellers]

... I do and I do not, I think. I believe it is important to reclaim who I was, but... I am fearful of the unknown, as well.

[showyourself]

...What are you most afraid of? Do you know a part of it?

[retellers]

Of the painful parts, I suppose. I do not feel as though my life was a happy one.
