It wasn't like that! [....except no it kind of was.] ...some of the people in my world lost their chance to exist as their own person. So when we found a way to help them exist again, we made sure it happened.

[retellers]

That sounds great and all, but... [ their eyes aren't visible, but they are leaning forward in a way that makes it obvious they are squinting ] Are you sure they weren't ghosts?

[reconnective]

[and he puts his hands on his hips despite the fact he's sitting.]

Have you ever seen a ghost before?

[retellers]

[ they make a face ]

I don't know, I have amnesia, remember? [ :T ... but they lean back finally ] It just seems scary, someone not having a body but still being around.

[reconnective]

Sorry, I forgot. [yeah.]

It's not like Roxas didn't have a body before. He just...kind of stopped having one for a while. [THAT DESCRIPTION IS NOT ANY BETTER.] But I bet some ghosts would be friendly anyway if you gave them a chance.

[retellers]

Still sounds like he was a ghost to me. [ it's muttered, though, and then they shake their head ] But you're only yourself now? No passengers?

[reconnective]

I'd like to see you tell him that. [haha roxas would be mad. but anyway! he nods.] All empty. No more passengers. Everybody's safe now.

[retellers]

Except for you, because you're stuck here. [ Little Do They Know ] Sorry about that. Not that we had any say in it, but...

[reconnective]

[haha!]

It's okay! You guys did everything you could to help us out, didn't you? [by. losing your memories. i guess.] Besides you were called to the Realm just like we were. Doesn't that mean you're stuck just like us?

[retellers]

Well, yeah, we can't leave, but we agreed to this and you guys didn't. [ a beat ] We remember agreeing to this. At least.

[reconnective]

[huh?]

What? Fox didn't make it sound like you remembered much about what happened after you got here. Do you remember anything else?

[retellers]

Not really? I don't even remember why I agreed to it, I just know that I did. But it makes sense, right? It's the right thing to do, and there is a wish at the end of it if we win.

[ so??? maybe ]

[reconnective]

[he tilts his head in thought at that, like he's trying to ponder why he would agree to something that drastic.]

...you all must have had something really important to protect, too. And something to wish for. [besides their worlds, he means. just...hm.]

I know you didn't choose me yourself, but that's okay. I'm on your team now and I'm going to do my best to make sure we win and save everyone's worlds. That means yours, too. So...if you need me for anything, or if there's something else I can do besides collect the nova and find my teammates...please trust me to help you.

[retellers]

[ they listen, quiet, and at the end of sora's speech there's a fond, wide smile on their face. they reach over and grab both of sora's hands in theirs? it's hand holding time now. ]

Thank you, Sora. I'm glad you're on my team. And I already trust you. It's like you said yourself-- we're friends now! [ it's horrible that they are both like this. ] And I know we're going to do great together. [ they free one of sora's hands to clench a fist in front of themselves ] Let's kick everyone's butts!

[ a beat ]

[hand holding time! he's fine with that, even going as far as swinging their hands a bit because he's just as fired up to save the day and work with new friends.]

Yeah! In a friendly way. [because it's a friendly competition! nothing else!!! glad they're still holding one hand each though because sora's pretty much mirroring their stance. victory!

Hey Swan, can I ask you something? Someone said that yesterday Wolf said nova is power, and we weren't sure if that meant it could be traded for our own powers back, or even new ones. Do you know what they meant?

[do they know any more about nova than the others? worth a try asking. if he can have any chance of getting his keyblade back...maybe he can be even more help somehow.]

[retellers]

[ yeah they're not. going to be the one to stop holding hands first, apparently, and they tilt their head at that question ]

Wolf's kind of a jerk. [ RUTHLESS ] Well, we traded our own nova-- our memories-- for all the things we can do for you guys. Which you already know about. I don't think that's possible for you?

[reconnective]

He's probably just not used to talking to so many people. [please don't defend wolf.] I thought so, but I wanted to make sure. If we get your nova back are you gonna lose your powers though? I guess you wouldn't really know until it happened.

...Wolf said you guys have a lot of powers, but they didn't seem to like them. Do you like yours?

[retellers]

[ they dutifully ignore his defense of wolf, but sora will probably Feel their raised eyebrow there ]

Probably we'll keep our powers so long as we have this connection to the Realm. Who knows after that?

[ they are just handholding forever now. ]

Some are great! And some are kind of... useless? Like "uh, why would I ever use that".

[reconnective]

[wow no judgment???]

Some of mine are like that, too. Can you tell me more about yours? [if he sounds hopeful, it's because he is.]

[retellers]

Well... I don't want to say too much. Some of the others can be soooo private. [ there's an air like they're rolling their eyes ] Buuuut we each have control over an element? [ they hold out a hand and make a ball of light float over their palm ] That's the best one, I think.

[reconnective]

[light....light! he knows light! as the ball floats above their palm his eyes widen as he leans in closer to see it.]

Wow. [he's well aware he has some pretty powerful magic of his own but it's still neat! and also, I hate to ask, what happens if he tries to touch the ball?] That's looks awesome.

[retellers]

[ it's really just meant to illuminate in this case, so his finger passes through it easily! like they're holding. light. ha ha. ]

Right? [ brightly ] And I never need to turn on a lamp. [ it's a joking tone, though ] There's other stuff, but I probably shouldn't show off inside here, since Iiii'm not sure if the others would sense it.

[ they stick out their tongue a little, like "woops" ]

That's okay. Maybe next time? After you guys get to know us better and everything. [he's going to hope that's how this works.] The other Leaders don't know that I'm on your team. But do they know anything else? Like...do you guys share information about all of us or anything?

[retellers]

[ they echo it eagerly, so it's not like they DON'T want to show off. ]

Nope! Everything you guys tell us is confidential. It'd be hard to trust your Leaders if we were always gossiping behind your backs, right?

[reconnective]

Yeah, but I have a feeling some people are going to have a hard time trusting you guys anyway. [he'll just say it, but it's clear he's not really happy about it.] But that's good to know.

...can we really ask for you whenever we want to see you guys? You won't be too busy?
