Oh, you were baking? Maybe we could bake together instead - if you don't mind putting in some work for our tea party.
[he smiles]
I enjoy all teas - though I've been partial to floral teas lately, since it reminds me the most of home. And I like.... street food! [ah yes the palate of a royale] I learned how to make dumplings the other day.
It's... a little scary. When you all arrived, you kept asking us why were you chosen, and how you weren't good choices, and we had to keep telling you all that we weren't the ones who decided and that we don't know why it was all of you.
[ the first few days was so much. but. ]
The thing is... I was wondering the same thing, when it was just us six. Why us? Is there something different about me, that made me have this role instead of one like yours? [ they wander out of the pantry to place the items on the counter. ] But I can't even begin to guess.
[ . . . he listens closely at that, following after rabbit and placing the flour and sugar next to the other ingredients.]
.... when I heard that you all had lost your memories, I thought it interesting. At first, I was under the impression that simply was the order of things, since you six were the first to arrive and it was unlucky.
Though when I heard later that it was willing - that you all chose to give up your memories for us...
That was the moment in which I decided I would like to get to know all of you, as much as I could. [and he offers up a smile, gentle and sincere] Because even if you cannot remember the contents of your life -
I think it an impressive thing, to voluntarily make that sacrifice for strangers. I'm not sure if there's something that makes you very different from the rest of us, greater or lesser... but I do think that is still a wonderful mark of kindness. And that counts for something.

[he nods]
I understand. I'll avoid putting you in a difficult position.
no subject
[ they do a few bows in quick succession. the fake rabbit ears on their hood flop stupidly. ]
no subject
Really, you needn't bow so much -
It's alright. It's not out of obligation. I'd like to.
no subject
[ they trail off. ]
Is there anything else you wanted to talk about?
no subject
Shall we get to know one another better?
If you're willing.
no subject
[ amnesia is bad. ]
no subject
[he nods along with that]
Your favorite type of tea? Foods?
no subject
[ they are putting much thought into this. ]

no subject
Oh, but what about you?
no subject
[he smiles]

[ but hm. ]
Street food...? What kind of dumplings?
no subject
[ :D ]
Deep-fried dumplings - I'd like to take the recipe I learned and adapt it. When I was a child I had some with plum bean jam....
no subject
[ and because of pc logic, no one will call for them in this period of time. ]
I see... who taught you to make them here?
no subject
To the kitchen then? If you'll direct me on how to make it, I've become quite the assistant.
[but he looks pleased]
Ah - it was Blanca. Unexpected, isn't it?
no subject
Blanca? Hm, you're right, I wouldn't have guessed that he could cook...
no subject
[kitchen time!! i still don't know how to bake but at least that's ic this time]
no subject
You seem to be befriending all of the good cooks then.
no subject
Lucky!
Though I'm lucky that they're willing to teach me too - even if there are some secret ingredients I'm not allowed to know...
no subject
[ it's said with a slight laugh. once they find flour and sugar, they'll hand it over. ]
no subject
Do you have secret recipes of your own, Rabbit? Or would telling me defeat the purpose...
no subject
[ they pause, mid-reach for another ingredient. ]
Maybe I do. I guess it would be the ultimate secret right now.
no subject
[optimism! that's what he told lup too, after all]
... do you feel as though you miss your memories?
no subject
