They're really fun to make! When we were waiting for you all to show up, I kept myself busy with that whenever I managed to get some free time.

Oh, you were baking? Maybe we could bake together instead - if you don't mind putting in some work for our tea party.

I enjoy all teas - though I've been partial to floral teas lately, since it reminds me the most of home. And I like.... street food! [ah yes the palate of a royale] I learned how to make dumplings the other day.

Ah, I guess even in a different dimension, secret recipes are important...

[ it's said with a slight laugh. once they find flour and sugar, they'll hand it over. ]

[ they pause, mid-reach for another ingredient. ]

Maybe I do. I guess it would be the ultimate secret right now.

That's true, no one would be able to get it from you. Maybe you could recreate it and discover it again.

... do you feel as though you miss your memories?

[ hm. they grab the salt and baking powder. ]

It's... a little scary. When you all arrived, you kept asking us why were you chosen, and how you weren't good choices, and we had to keep telling you all that we weren't the ones who decided and that we don't know why it was all of you.

[ the first few days was so much. but. ]

The thing is... I was wondering the same thing, when it was just us six. Why us? Is there something different about me, that made me have this role instead of one like yours? [ they wander out of the pantry to place the items on the counter. ] But I can't even begin to guess.

[recrowns]

[ . . . he listens closely at that, following after rabbit and placing the flour and sugar next to the other ingredients.]

.... when I heard that you all had lost your memories, I thought it interesting. At first, I was under the impression that simply was the order of things, since you six were the first to arrive and it was unlucky.

Though when I heard later that it was willing - that you all chose to give up your memories for us...

That was the moment in which I decided I would like to get to know all of you, as much as I could. [and he offers up a smile, gentle and sincere] Because even if you cannot remember the contents of your life -

I think it an impressive thing, to voluntarily make that sacrifice for strangers. I'm not sure if there's something that makes you very different from the rest of us, greater or lesser... but I do think that is still a wonderful mark of kindness. And that counts for something.

[ their immediate response is to shake their head, as if to ward away against his kind words. but then they pause, and decide to instead busy themself with gathering the other ingredients as they respond. eggs... ]

Thank you. I hope I'm kind. [ ... ] I think the Realm left us with a general impression of our personalities because it would be more difficult for us to help you all if we were left with absolutely nothing. But from what I can tell, I don't... particularly seem like a strong person.

All of our reactions were different, though. I think Fox was a lot more upset about it than they want people to believe. When I was holding onto them, they were shaking a little... um. [ ... ] But don't tell them I said that.
