Well, that sucked.

But no matter what your death was like—whether it was something peaceful or traumatic, you'll find yourself waking in a completely white room on the floor. Small and empty, there isn't anything else there besides an open door to walk through. But before you do that, you'll probably notice that whatever injuries you may have had, including whatever may have been the death blow, are now gone. That's exciting.

Stepping out of the room, it seems that you're in a large... house? with three different floors. Everything from floor, ceiling to furniture is completely white, except for the drawings that are plastered to the walls in each room. These are all colorful, drawn in colored pencils and crayon, and resemble a child's drawing. The other notable thing are the windows. While they're present all around the building, looking out of them only shows TV static. Besides that, everything is furnished with the absolute bare minimum of each room.

The first floor is all typical common areas one would find in a house. There's a kitchen, living room area, laundry room, dining room, and a main hallway where the stairs are. There are also helpful drawings in these rooms that show the rooms much more lavishly decorated than they actually are. There's a door that appears to be the way to exit the building, but it leads you to somewhere that's not the front lawn.

The second floor consists of nothing but twenty bedrooms. Each room has one queen sized bed, an empty dresser, and an attached bathroom with only a sink, toilet, and shower. Like the first floor, each bedroom has drawn pictures that show it looking much more lavish than it actually does. Thanks for nothing, artist!

The third floor only has two rooms. One appears to be a home office with nothing but a desk and two chairs, one behind it and one in front of it. On the desk are some blank pieces of paper along with crayons, as well as a written note next to them that says PLEASE DRAW THE PREFERRED ANIMAL :). It looks like this is how you ask for a meeting with a Leader.

The other room is much larger, and it's completely empty save for the many drawings lining its walls— in fact, the walls are covered in them, much more than in any other room. On closer inspection, though, it seems like these aren't actually drawings? The papers seem to be showing scenes from the living area. Everything from inside the hotel to the areas beyond the bridge are visible here. However, when curfew hits on Thursday nights, they revert to being normal drawings! Except for the fact that they're all drawings of stick figures being murdered in various ways.

Well. At least there's plenty of things to draw with, if you get bored.

She's startled at first, because thank god inner tubes thrown by stupid noodle boys don't have much force. But it still gets her to stumble and splash with a yelp, looking back towards the ring now floating in the water, noting the blood and looking back up behind her in confusion--

Oh okay, problem solved. Her face lights up immediately.

She's picking up the inner tube and shaking off the extra water from her feet as she leaves the water. Is he running?]

[ That is not the reaction one is supposed to have to being bonked on the head, Hikaru, please,

Kano does not run, because getting onto his feet is a whole process that requires careful head balancing and not slipping on all the blood pooling on the boardwalk and dripping into the sea. He makes a large X with his arms and points out to shore?? please ]

[Eh?

The X gets her to stop immediately a couple yards away, looking back out in the direction he'd pointed, before looking back at him--

Oh. Oh his neck....... she's seen enough people now to know he'll be okay and she can't tell just HOW bad it is from here, but oof........]

Can... you not talk? [His neck is kind of destroyed, so that makes sense...]

[ She wasn't supposed to look back, but- anyways, she's still several yards away, close enough for Kano to hear what she's saying but when he opens his mouth to reply, it's just blood that pours out, thick and in waves in time with each breath. He can sort of... maybe... talk? He'd like to think so, anyways, but he also thinks it's just in his head.

Whoever aimed to silence him did a hell of a job in making it permanent.

He points at Hikaru, and then, with both hands, pokes his cheeks. This is the second time I'd had to reference using this icon but it's like this. ]

She's just waving her hands drastically to get him to stop, breaking the distance pretty much the secind the blood starts pouring out.]

N-no, nonono don't try that again! [AAAAAA???? She tosses the innertube onto the boardwalk, wincing at how her shoulder protests. Whatever, there is blood everywhere already... at least the sand is here.]

I-I'm fine, I'm okay! I wouldn't come over here if I wasn't happy to see you--!

Hold on, um-- I'll see if I can go get you a bottle of water, okay?

[ He laughs at her panic, and the laughter forces more blood up his throat, almost choking. Lifting a fist, he bumps the heel of it against his temple and points at Hikaru, but then settles back on the boardwalk and resumes swinging his legs, presumably to hold and see whether Hikaru can find a bottle of water, and whatever she plans to do with it when anything that washes off will just be replaced half a second later if he so much as coughs. ]

[Fair food stands mean bottled water that costs like ten bucks but thankfully money is a myth here!

She's back in a short while, bumping his shoulder with the familiar crinkle of cheap plastic, her brow furrowed.]

Rinse out your mouth if it gets really gross, okay? I... think it would be awful, to taste nothing but blood.

Don't you dare try to talk again.

[ Kano gives her a weird look, wanting to say something about the taste of blood but also not really wanting to talk about it. It's not really the taste, but the mouthfeel that gets him- like eating blood tofu in hot pot and your teeth feel all tacky and stick together and it's very weird? The mouthfeel.

He takes a sip of water, gives his mouth a swish and then

leans over and lets it dribble out of his mouth into the ocean, I guess, because there really is nowhere else to spit. ]

[just spit it you coward.]

Are you gonna be okay? I know we can't stop the bleeding, but... your neck looks really bad. [What an understatement. But in comparison, the gouge in her shoulder feels equivalent to a paper cut for her.]

[ Spitting requires suction he can't achieve very well with his neck torn to shreds.

Swan didn't get this, but maybe Hikaru can figure it out: he taps his right arm with his left hand, and then points at the center of Hikaru's forehead before lifting his pointer finger to the air, and then points at his neck, and then finally taps his temple and carefully shakes his head. ]

[ I like that these two icons are basically the same icon but different enough that it doesn't feel like I'm repeating them. Same mood.

He shrugs, though. Because it's obvious somebody tried to rip his head off, or at least crush his throat or break his neck, but...

He taps his temple, and shakes his head. ]

She copies the motion of his left hand tapping his right arm.]

[ He smiles a little, holding up two fingers, then placing his right hand on his chest. ]

Still with that smile on his face, he points at Hikaru, holds up two fingers again, and juts his thumb over his shoulder. ]

He sighs and shakes his head and reaches out to pat her on the head with his bloody hand. ]
