GRAVEYARD

Well, that sucked.

But no matter what your death was like—whether it was something peaceful or traumatic, you'll find yourself waking in a completely white room on the floor. Small and empty, there isn't anything else there besides an open door to walk through. But before you do that, you'll probably notice that whatever injuries you may have had, including whatever may have been the death blow, are now gone. That's exciting.

Stepping out of the room, it seems that you're in a large... house? with three different floors. Everything from floor, ceiling to furniture is completely white, except for the drawings that are plastered to the walls in each room. These are all colorful, drawn in colored pencils and crayon, and resemble a child's drawing. The other notable thing are the windows. While they're present all around the building, looking out of them only shows TV static. Besides that, everything is furnished with the absolute bare minimum of each room.

The first floor is all typical common areas one would find in a house. There's a kitchen, living room area, laundry room, dining room, and a main hallway where the stairs are. There are also helpful drawings in these rooms that show the rooms much more lavishly decorated than they actually are. There's a door that appears to be the way to exit the building, but it leads you to somewhere that's not the front lawn.

The second floor consists of nothing but twenty bedrooms. Each room has one queen sized bed, an empty dresser, and an attached bathroom with only a sink, toilet, and shower. Like the first floor, each bedroom has drawn pictures that show it looking much more lavish than it actually does. Thanks for nothing, artist!

The third floor only has two rooms. One appears to be a home office with nothing but a desk and two chairs, one behind it and one in front of it. On the desk are some blank pieces of paper along with crayons, as well as a written note next to them that says PLEASE DRAW THE PREFERRED ANIMAL :). It looks like this is how you ask for a meeting with a Leader.

The other room is much larger, and it's completely empty save for the many drawings lining its walls— in fact, the walls are covered in them, much more than in any other room. On closer inspection, though, it seems like these aren't actually drawings? The papers seem to be showing scenes from the living area. Everything from inside the hotel to the areas beyond the bridge are visible here. However, when curfew hits on Thursday nights, they revert to being normal drawings! Except for the fact that they're all drawings of stick figures being murdered in various ways.

Well. At least there's plenty of things to draw with, if you get bored.

As of Week 3, each person has the ability to send messages on their PHS unlocked.

It's a messaging system. We each only get two per week.

Does that mean not everyone who is alive knows the messaging system exists?

[A shake of her head.]

I wasn't aware until I was told about a message. And the person I discussed it with never mentioned the possibility of replying to the sender, even after we spoke about the message's meaning in depth.

. . . curious.

[taps her cheek thoughtfully]

That's something to bear in mind, then. Perhaps those who have the ability to message us back are on a certain team?

It's possible... Have only Carré-san and Wilde-san written back to you, and the others on this side?

One other person has written to me, but I am not sure who they are.

[STARES INTO THE ABBYS]

Someone who signed their letter. . . "girl vore twin?"

A beat.]

That sounds like something Taako-san would say, so perhaps... Lup-san?

[She believes in the power of twin brain melding.]

As the only twin we were aware of, Master Shima sent a reply to Lady Lup. Hopefully we guessed correctly.

[OH, BLESS. She smiles, a little relieved.]

I hope she got the message. I'll have to remember to thank you all properly for working so hard.

I promised Master Won that I would, should consciousness persist after "death."

[a tiny little smile]

[simply and without any ill-feelings at all]

[... She nods, looking a little sad.]

Honestly, I suspected it... but I didn't want to believe it. [Oof.] May I asked what happened?

[her tone is even while she speaks, perfectly pleasant and polite as she always is]

There are people in this world I would do anything for-- even take a life. The Realm may take what it wishes from me, but. . .

... I see. I can't personally agree, but I understand. I'm sorry, Sharon-san.

[Sympathetically. Poor Sharon...]

I don't ask for agreement, understanding, forgiveness. . . none of those things matter to me, I am afraid.

At any rate, Master Won was not caught. By now I imagine he has confided in others he trusts about what happened.

[Finally, she will put down the food. Is there even any left for the others? Probably.]

Um, my nova splintered. I knew what it meant, and that I would become a danger to everyone else if I stayed, so... I helped Carré-san put me down.

[growing girls gotta eat!!! but when Sumire gives that name, the features on Sharon's exprsesion slacken for a moment in surprise before she smooths them out again]

. . . I see. So Miss Ange acted a second week in a row. . .

[a pause]

Please, do not put it like that, as though you are some animal. You are a person too, Lady Sumire. [. . .] At the trial, everyone seemed to think your death was unnecessarily cruel and painful. Was that true?

A second week...?

[Eye widening because, Ange??? ANGE. Girl. She's silent for a moment because, well. She was a bomb as far as she's concerned. But, okay. Sure thing, Sharon. Then the moment passes, and she shakes her head.]

Not at all. I'm not entirely sure what happened after I died, or what the others saw... But I injured myself to stage a fight, and then gave her my rapier so she could finish it. Honestly, I barely remember what happened after I sat down.

[u know she's desensitized to beheadings but maybe, she won't, traumatized poor Sumire, by telling. . . her]

I see. . . I am so sorry you had to experience that, Lady Sumire.

[bows deeply!]

But I am glad to hear it was not drawn out or painful, and that Miss Ange did her best to make it quick and painless.

Carré-san was very kind to me. I'm relieved she and Solus-san are safe for another week.

[Genuinely, even if they're murderers.]

... But if this is her second time killing a participant, does that mean her team has done its part?

[SHE'S TALKING TO A WOULD-HAVE-BEEN MURDERER, SO SHARON IS A LITTLE TOUCHED BY THAT]

I believe so. It's within the parameters that Fox gave me. Though it might be prudent to ask Master Wolf, just in case.

Wolf-san...? She's a member of their team?

If Fox and Wolf's insignia's flashed the Sunday Master Shima killed, then she can only be on Wolf's team.

Oh! That makes sense. [Math...] Then, as long as it's not necessary for two separate people to be involved... Wolf-san's team ought to be safe.
