KING RULEBOOK

the king

On Sunday, at 6pm, Emet-Selch will receive a message on his PHS.
πŸ‘€ ➑️ 🏰

go there.

Upon receiving this message, Emet-Selch will notice that the castle appears closer than usual. Should he head towards it, he will finally be able to reach its entrance. Inside is a large hall with various doors, along with a staircase, but he will be able to access only a single door. Once he steps inside, he will find his Leader waiting for him.

After their meeting is over and he leaves the castle, he will no longer be able to reach the castle again.

As the King:
Every Sunday, the King will be able to create one rule and one order that must be followed. These decrees will go into effect on the Monday of the following week, and will last until the following Sunday.

The two decrees are as follows:
    1) One rule that every participant must follow, the only stipulations being that it cannot contradict any of the current rules and that you cannot consecutively make the same rule. This rule will be added to the official rulebook, and anyone who breaks it will be punished.

    2) One order that one participant must follow. The participant will not be informed that an order has been given to them, and will only be aware of an urge to obey it. The participant will follow this order until the new week begins, or until the King chooses to remove it.

Additional notes:
The King will be allowed to ask questions about the on-goings of the game and communicate with their Leader in their weekly meetings. They may receive small hints should they perform well. However, the information received will be up to their Leader's discretion.

Shiro.

[you don't have to say that without hesitation, emet-selch, jesus.]

I was considering him already, but particularly after the events of the weekend... qualify it as an urge to kill so that the young ones do not have to suffer it themselves, and I suspect he may be easier to push.

There are others I believe could be used, but he is foremost among them. Even should it fail, if he ends up admitting to the fact that he has this urge at all-- well. That can also be useful in other ways.

[if they want bonds, then what assists that more than turning to someone in distress? if they need a nudge, maybe it'll spur a little action on their parts to know someone was nearly pushed into murder.]

So it would. There are benefits regardless of its success or failure, I believe-- but then that is one matter decided. The other, I must consider further.

['teej just decide on rules before sunday' it's HARD.]

In the meantime... the concept was brought up of nova splintering. I would ask what you know of that, as well.

And are you aware of precisely what this entails? I would much prefer to have the explanation from one of you, if there is one to be had.

-but they are only irretrievable if they break completely, yes? Or is it that anything lost once this 'infection' begins is gone for good, regardless of whether the afflicted individual is removed in time?

In either case... is there no way to prevent this from occurring?

Then if there is aught to be done to attempt to prevent it, I would know what those measures are.

[leaning forward slightly, arms folded on the table.]

I am the last living memory of a world which no longer exists. Not as we once knew it. Should the history which I have committed to memory be broken in such a manner, it would be lost completely to the universe, and that... that, I could not abide. A temporary loss is bearable, if galling, but I will not see this destroyed.

-then if you would please, I would hear it, if you do learn anything more.

[that may well be the first time he's said please to anyone all game. amazing.]

Ending up in such a state is something that must be prevented, at all costs.

So it is. If you learn of any signs, as well, then... in the absence of anything else to be done, I would know when removal is necessary, that I may have Archer handle it.

[death, he can overcome. he believes in that much. it would be more acceptable than losing everything for good.]

... for now, I have another question. I have been made aware of another with some form of ability here, as well as their identity; just how much care must be taken in sharing my position?

[he's discussed protecting people like himself, with chiron, so... he is thinking about it.

It should be the opposite, I believe. I have spoken with the person who shared that identity about attempting to ensure any of us with these duties survive, and I do trust they will keep their word to me.

[unless their greater duty takes precedence, but like. he understands.]

I do not intend to tell him about the orders, but is there aught I should not say?

I had not intended to, but I will make certain to keep such details to myself should anyone ask. It is not relevant to the subject.

I suppose time will tell if I have had a good sense of who to tell that information to, as well, but thus far I believe so.

Given that it apparently took time for them to come speak to you, I cannot say I'm surprised.

Just today? Well, that's a bit careless of them...

[how do you just avoid someone you're tied to, did they not even want info? hello.]
