KING RULEBOOK
the king On Sunday, at 6pm, Emet-Selch will receive a message on his PHS. π€ β‘οΈ π° Upon receiving this message, Emet-Selch will notice that the castle appears closer than usual. Should he head towards it, he will finally be able to reach its entrance. Inside is a large hall with various doors, along with a staircase, but he will be able to access only a single door. Once he steps inside, he will find his Leader waiting for him. After their meeting is over and he leaves the castle, he will no longer be able to reach the castle again. As the King: Every Sunday, the King will be able to create one rule and one order that must be followed. These decrees will go into effect on the Monday of the following week, and will last until the following Sunday. The two decrees are as follows:
2) One order that one participant must follow. The participant will not be informed that an order has been given to them, and will only be aware of an urge to obey it. The participant will follow this order until the new week begins, or until the King chooses to remove it. Additional notes: The King will be allowed to ask questions about the on-goings of the game and communicate with their Leader in their weekly meetings. They may receive small hints should they perform well. However, the information received will be up to their Leader's discretion. |

It sounds like... I guess people are getting "infected" with this, so their own nova starts to splinter. And the only way to stop that from happening is to remove them from the Realm before it splinters entirely and then infects the next person.

In either case... is there no way to prevent this from occurring?

[ they sigh. ]
I don't think there would be a way to stop it altogether when the Realm is already weak to everything else that's happening. It gets compared to a sickness a lot--you can't completely prevent yourself from catching a cold, but you can try to take up measures from getting even more sick.

[leaning forward slightly, arms folded on the table.]
I am the last living memory of a world which no longer exists. Not as we once knew it. Should the history which I have committed to memory be broken in such a manner, it would be lost completely to the universe, and that... that, I could not abide. A temporary loss is bearable, if galling, but I will not see this destroyed.

Of course, if that changes, I can let you know. The problem is that it doesn't seem to have been caught in the early stages--just when it's too late to do anything else.

[that may well be the first time he's said please to anyone all game. amazing.]
Ending up in such a state is something that must be prevented, at all costs.

[ they look down at the table. ]
Losing all of your memories already fucking sucks. Everything else is... a lot worse.

[death, he can overcome. he believes in that much. it would be more acceptable than losing everything for good.]
... for now, I have another question. I have been made aware of another with some form of ability here, as well as their identity; just how much care must be taken in sharing my position?
[he's discussed protecting people like himself, with chiron, so... he is thinking about it.

[unless their greater duty takes precedence, but like. he understands.]
I do not intend to tell him about the orders, but is there aught I should not say?
no subject
[ but... hm. ]
... don't mention what the room is like.

Although admittedly, our team wasn't that bad with it compared to others. So that's nice.
