THE KNIGHT On Monday, at 11pm, Xie Lian will receive a message on his PHS. come to the castle and be discreet. it is important. Upon receiving this message, Xie Lian will notice that the castle appears closer than usual. Should he head towards it, he will finally be able to reach its entrance. Inside is a large hall with various doors, along with a staircase, but Xie Lian will be able to access only a single door. Once he steps inside, he will find his Leader waiting for him. After their meeting is over and he leaves the castle, he will no longer be able to reach the castle again. ༶•┈┈⛧┈｡o°✥✣ 　　 ✣✥°o｡┈⛧┈┈•༶ As the Knight: Every Monday, the Knight will be given the chance to protect 1-2 participants in two different ways, active only for the current week. They may choose to apply both means of immunity to the same participant, or they can pick a different person for each one. Or, if they so wish, no one at all. The two forms of protection are active only as long as the Knight is still alive and are as follows: 1.) They can give one participant immunity from murder on Thursday night. If this participant is marked for death then, their reasons to die will transfer to the Knight who will be targeted instead. 2.) They can give one participant immunity from execution on Sunday. If this participant is voted for at trial, they will survive their execution. However, they cannot be aware or harbour strong suspicions that they are protected, or else the immunity will fail. ༶•┈┈⛧┈｡o°✥✣ 　　 ✣✥°o｡┈⛧┈┈•༶ Additional notes: The Knight will be allowed to ask questions about the on-goings of the game and communicate with their Leader in their weekly meetings. They may receive small hints should they perform well. However, the information received will be up to their Leader's discretion.

[ aaand we're back! at least we're here now.

xie lian's brought snacks from the pub with him this time! they're fish sticks. hm, tasty! probably. he's feeling less than heartened, considering last week's failure, but... the more information that they're able to come by the better, lately, so. his expression is his normal calm cheer, and he bows despite his full hands, carefully so. ]

Hello, Brother Goat. [ offering his snack. ] We have much to talk about, this time - I am sure once again, I will have many questions.

[ goat returns the bow, before taking the snack. ]

...the first of my inquiries is perhaps the least pleasant, but it is only something I heard from another participant.

[ it's not exactly a fish sticks with your buddies question, but that's fine. ]

There...has been the implication, that the killing the first week was requested directly, by a leader. Is there anything that you can tell me about that - or if that process was repeated, this last week?

[retellers]

I don't know anything about that, that you have not heard already. I'm sorry.

[dianxias]

...It's alright. [ a bit disappointing, but not surprising. ] I hope, if it was true, that it wasn't you, my friend.

The idea is concerning. Even if it was true, that doesn't even necessarily mean it's linked to what happened with Miss Sharon and Miss Cater. Ah... you remembered they're sort of being "held", is that right? Can you confirm that they and Kano are in that state, now, too?

[retellers]

I haven't personally confirmed yet, but they should be as well.

[dianxias]

That is most reassuring.

[ phew. ] I still haven't told anyone yet, even though San Lang was quite proactive today. I may yet tell him, but... to say I trust him with all of my being is putting it lightly. I would like to let the others know soon, though... I think it will be reassuring to some of the grieving members of our group.

[ like poor izumo. our week one ship, wow. ] -- Though, that does remind me! If I show you my PHS... [ fussing around with a fishstick sticking out of his mouth (at least two of these will end up in his sleeves), xie lian procures the device and pulls it to the page with the team icon, then shows it to them! ]

You can see it, right, since you're my Leader? Why is it... doing that, do you know?

[ the icon has stopped flashing by now, for the record! ]

I think it was to alert you that I had regained a memory.

[ they nod. ]

[ a beat. ]

...If you feel up to talking about it, Brother Goat, I would like to know.

... Ah. Um, I meant about how the dead can be revived. The rest is...

[dianxias]

...I understand. [ quietly, as empathetic as always. ] It's alright, if you don't want to tell.

I suppose if you remember things that are relevant to us... that's when this symbol will start to blink that way?

[retellers]

... It's merely memories of my life from before here. Nothing that will help any of you, I think.

[ they nod again. ]

It seems that is the case.

...I hope that your life wasn't in line with that place too much, Brother Goat.

[ because boy, that sure felt terrible. ]

[retellers]

That place...? Ah, you mean what happened on Thursday. I... [ a pause. ] I don't think I came from a place like that.

[dianxias]

Good. [ with a small smile for them, then. ] As far as I could tell, most of the things there were utterly beyond me... unless you've lived your life far, far into the future instead of before mine, then, it would seem rather strange.

[ anyway. ] Mmn...when did you remember about the place where people go when they pass on here, anyway?

[retellers]

A few days after you all arrived here.

[dianxias]

...Interesting. [ xie lian taps his cheek. ] But you were only really able to share that yesterday...? Or, were you waiting to see what happened, if someone else ended up killed...?


...Why in the world did it only end up blinking on Sunday, then....

[retellers]

We did not believe it would be relevant at first... and then, when people started dying, I was concerned that people would treat death lightly if they knew.

[ they just tilt their head at the next question, though. ]

[dianxias]

[ ... ]

Can you confirm or deny for me if a member of our team was removed from the Realm? Without saying a name?

[retellers]

[ ...

goat looks away. ]

I'm sorry. I cannot confirm that.

[ though their expression sure looks somber, before they look back to xie lian. ]

... Though I am permitted to give out one hint per week--for the overall team--to help locate a teammate. It depends, however, on whether you would rather use that to find one among the living or to confirm your theory...

[dianxias]

[ well... that says enough, doesn't it, by the look on their face. xie lian's matches theirs for a moment, just as somber, before his brain starts working. ]

...If we find a teammate, are we allowed to share that?

[retellers]

You may share what you wish, as long as it doesn't go against the rules stated.

[dianxias]

[ flipping open his phs to read from it. ] "Your connection is known only to them and yourself. For now, do not reveal their identity"...

So, I suppose, with wording - technically, were I not to say that I was on your team to someone I suspect, but perhaps, "I think you and I may be on the same team"...something along those lines...?
