THE KNIGHT

On Monday, at 11pm, Xie Lian will receive a message on his PHS.

come to the castle and be discreet. it is important.

Upon receiving this message, Xie Lian will notice that the castle appears closer than usual. Should he head towards it, he will finally be able to reach its entrance. Inside is a large hall with various doors, along with a staircase, but Xie Lian will be able to access only a single door. Once he steps inside, he will find his Leader waiting for him.

After their meeting is over and he leaves the castle, he will no longer be able to reach the castle again.

As the Knight:
Every Monday, the Knight will be given the chance to protect 1-2 participants in two different ways, active only for the current week. They may choose to apply both means of immunity to the same participant, or they can pick a different person for each one. Or, if they so wish, no one at all.

The two forms of protection are active only as long as the Knight is still alive and are as follows:

immunity from murder on Thursday night

immunity from execution on Sunday

Additional notes:
The Knight will be allowed to ask questions about the on-goings of the game and communicate with their Leader in their weekly meetings. They may receive small hints should they perform well. However, the information received will be up to their Leader's discretion.

We did not believe it would be relevant at first... and then, when people started dying, I was concerned that people would treat death lightly if they knew.

... Though I am permitted to give out one hint per week--for the overall team--to help locate a teammate. It depends, however, on whether you would rather use that to find one among the living or to confirm your theory...

You may share what you wish, as long as it doesn't go against the rules stated.

[ flipping open his phs to read from it. ] "Your connection is known only to them and yourself. For now, do not reveal their identity"...

So, I suppose, with wording - technically, were I not to say that I was on your team to someone I suspect, but perhaps, "I think you and I may be on the same team"...something along those lines...?

[ he's thinking out loud, but. ]

Ah, that rule. As a participant, it should be fine even if you break it a few times, as long as you don't destabilize the Realm by doing it all at once.

Do I need to ask a specific question, or can you merely pass a hint along?

....since that person and I both may have participated in that strange disturbance this week - is that part of what helped to raise our ranking so high?

With telling others - obviously, shouting it across the Realm would cause quite the issue, but is there an upper limit as to how many people one could tell about their team affiliation?

There isn't an upper limit, I think. It's more about telling too many people in a short frame of time... so as long as you spread it out and don't do it too often within a week, it should be fine.
