GRAVEYARD 2.0
GRAVEYARD Well, that sucked. But no matter what your death was like—whether it was something peaceful or traumatic, you'll find yourself waking in a completely white room on the floor. Small and empty, there isn't anything else there besides an open door to walk through. But before you do that, you'll probably notice that whatever injuries you may have had, including whatever may have been the death blow, are now gone. That's exciting. Stepping out of the room, it seems that you're in a large... house? with three different floors. Everything from floor, ceiling to furniture is completely white, except for the drawings that are plastered to the walls in each room. These are all colorful, drawn in colored pencils and crayon, and resemble a child's drawing. The other notable thing are the windows. While they're present all around the building, looking out of them only shows TV static. Besides that, everything is furnished with the absolute bare minimum of each room. The first floor is all typical common areas one would find in a house. There's a kitchen, living room area, laundry room, dining room, and a main hallway where the stairs are. There are also helpful drawings in these rooms that show the rooms much more lavishly decorated than they actually are. There's a door that appears to be the way to exit the building, it's locked. The second floor consists of nothing but twenty bedrooms. Each room has one queen sized bed, an empty dresser, and an attached bathroom with only a sink, toilet, and shower. Like the first floor, each bedroom has drawn pictures that show it looking much more lavish than it actually does. Thanks for nothing, artist! The third floor only has two rooms. One appears to be a home office with nothing but a desk and two chairs, one behind it and one in front of it. While there's blank pieces of paper and crayons on the desk, the note that was previously there is gone. The other room is much larger, and it's completely empty save for the many drawings lining its walls— in fact, the walls are covered in them, much more than in any other room. On closer inspection, though, it seems like these aren't actually drawings? The papers seem to be showing scenes from the living area. Everything from inside the hotel to the areas beyond the bridge are visible here. However, when curfew hits on Thursday nights, they revert to being normal drawings! Except for the fact that they're all drawings of stick figures being murdered in various ways. Well. At least there's plenty of things to draw with, if you get bored. Also, a handy link to the previous post. |

Yup. Time to go! She only waits long enough for Kano to catch up to her, keeping an eye on the snowman/coal things, and then she's heading to the church. Byeeeee.]

But yeah they can go into the church. And right by the entryway to the church is a bunch of wet snow gear: boots, mittens, coats, scarves, hats, you get the idea. It looks like two sets for small children and one set for an adult.
In front of them is the entrance to the church, and if they look in they can see that the pews currently sit empty. But if they go to the left, it connects to a living space. A light is on in there, and some laughter can be heard. At least one of the voices should sound familiar too.]

Kano followed close after Sumi, and pauses long enough to stomp the snow off his own boots on the welcome mat when entering the church, but he freezes when he hears the sound of laughter, like it's something he doesn't want to disrupt. He doesn't want to go inside that room, either, to check up on who is there and interrupt whatever's going on.
A finger to his lips, he motions for Sumi to go around the pews, keeping them between them and that living space so they can hide behind them like creepy stalkers and see what's going on. ]

Luckily, Sumire catches onto what Kano wants rather quickly. No convoluted charades necessary, thank god. Quiet as a mouse, she's careful about where she steps as she follows after him. Time to be creepy stalkers and see what's going on.]

But it's alright, the trio in the kitchen don't seem to notice two teenagers. Shiro is at the stove, boiling some water to use in making drinks. And at the table are two children, who are armed with a spoon, three mugs, and a container of hot cocoa powder.]
Hey now, don't spill anything. And just one scoop per cup, got it?
Okay!
"Okay!"
[Two girls, about 5 or so. Two girls who look nearly identical, except one girl's long hair is red while the other's long hair is reddish-brown.]

he looks at Sumi and makes the facial expression equivalent of ??? ]

Hate this.
Sumire absolutely recognizes these twin girls, and it shows in her expression. She sinks down completely behind the pews, closing her eyes profusely. And then she gently points at the door they just entered through. Wow. Maybe they should have taken their chances with the coal.]

But not nearly as sus as the distinct feeling that the two of them are being watched by another entity entirely, and not by something friendly. They will feel like they are being hunted.]

The feeling of being watched- judged- hunted, it's especially heavy and Kano can't help but tug at his hood and make sure it's pulled over his head as far as it will go, to conceal him from those knowing eyes. He doesn't want to stay here, for as much protection as a church could offer them (how much, when there's a demon cat running around here? how much, when Kano himself was able to step foot inside?) but he can't decide whether to grab Shiro and the girls or lead whatever this is away from them.
First things first, he grabs Sumi's hand so he can urge her onto her feet. He pulls her towards the pulpit, large enough for her to resume crouching behind after, but it will also give Kano a good view of the entire room while keeping an eye and ear out for that side door with Shiro and the girls. ]

She allows Kano to lead the way, her other hand moving to her rapier — assuming it's still there. If it is and so is the rest of her inventory, she will also slide a scalpel over to Kano. Is this a terrible idea? Maybe so. But it's fine. Please do not notice them, little demons. She is going to carefully look around to try and get a sense of, uh, what exactly is watching them. ]

A shadow of something long and slithering slides across the tall, skinny church windows, winding around the church, layering itself around the outside. How is the snake this big? Good question.]

Hide or run, hide or run. They're trapped in here, but trying to go outside, they'd just be running straight into that monster's jaws.
Kano looks around the pulpit to see if there's any purified salt or holy water or demon warding talismans or something WHY WOULDN'T THE CHUCH HAVE THIS STUFF, IT'S A STAPLE ]

Sumire glances in the direction of where they previously spotted Shiro and the Great Value Yoshizawas, hoping she can still get a visual on them, and thinks. Very, very quietly, for Kano's ears only:]
Do you think that was the real Fujimoto-san?
[Because whatever they do, they should probably account for him... right?]
