[Does this team have a name? Do either of the teams have a name? She lifts her pompoms in the air and reminds herself that these are not, in fact, her senpais watching her do this shit.]
His hands kinda sink some, just watching. He did just warn Yoshizawa about not believing these people are real and are definitely illusions to torment them but also the emotion of Miss Friends. Bad. ]
Just fake. Just bullshit.
[...] And shut the absolute fuck up, Claire, I still have a knife.
It seems Sumire is going to spend 90% of this CYOA looking at Taako in concern, given the fact that she's once again watching his reaction to this turn of events.]
Isn't two against eight, ah... unfair?
[But little did she know, Team Persona may or may not regret not having their two endgame DPS in the lineup. Unfortunate.]
[These aren't her friends. Remember, these aren't her friends.
There is absolutely nothing good that could come out of this. No verdict yet on whether staying here is worse than playing but, uh... There is one person she knows for sure is real here, so. Still standing in a spot where she can block Lup's body.]
[ Merle and Magnus both go to one side of the field, while the Phantom Thieves get into position on the other. I don't know football positions besides linebacker and quarterback.
Claire sets the ball on the ground in between them. ]
If Yoshizawa wants to hold hands now, Taako will elbow her and offer one. This is the nicest thing he has ever done, so, know that.]
Hey—- Remember. It’s just - This place just wants you to feel upset. It’s trying to dig in your head and find the shit that will hurt. They aren’t here.
Too bad it's all getting drowned out by the absolute horror of watching her friend take an axe to the stomach. She fucking screams, taking a step forward.]
—Ann-senpai!
[He, uh, may want to be more aggressive about that hand holding. If he doesn't grab her when she steps forward, almost deaf to his words, she is absolutely going to run right at the carnage.]
[ Well, as Alli stated, Taako isn't holding onto her too tightly, so Sumire gets to run onto a field. She probably should have put on the helmet when it was offered if she was going to do this anyway?
But she can get to run in right as the axe cleaves Ann right into two, her bottom half falling over as her torso flies and smacks Sumire. It's comical, of course, because the crowd laughs at how funny it is.
The thing is, the axe isn't stopping as Magnus continues to swing it. So it's probably a good thing that Sumire got smacked by Ann's pieces, because it'll help soften the blow a little bit as the axe hits Sumire in the face. ]
[god this broke bad so quickly! Sometimes you forget that not everyone has seen their friends murdered a bunch before and might freak out like a lot? A lot!]
Hey, wait—- Holy shit!
[Like always, Taako tries to stay out of it and then gets sucked right into the hot spinning vortex of horseshit that’s happening anyway. Rushing in right after her, and trying to grab her by the arm to maybe pull her out of the way of the worst of that axe to the face? I don’t know. Kyuu could traumatize all of us by killing Yoshizawa right here in front of God, Taako, and all of us.]
Taako reaches her, though not in time to stop Magnus' axe from connecting with her face. Ann's upper body flying into her serves to push her towards Taako, sure. But the way she immediately drops to the ground, going limp even as he grasps her arm, is not promising. Her face is tilted down, blood steadily dripping on the grass as the angle obscures most of the damage. She does not twitch a single muscle.
It feels like an eternity before her free hand shakily reaches up to clutch her face. Blood drips through her fingers. So much blood. Speech seems to be beyond her for the moment, the only sounds coming out of her mouth being choked gasps and whimpers, but. Uh. Maybe they should get the fuck out of the way? Unless another one of her friends wants to be the MVP. That works, too.]
Yusuke runs forward to grab the axe with his twink arms, and rushes forward to Merle who--simply tackles Yusuke to the ground. The problem is that Yusuke is holding an axe, so Merle just accidentally stabs himself with it.
It's going great. Lup and Ann bleed on the ground. ]
[I can’t fucking believe Kyuu just tortured us for three whole minutes with that what the FUCK
Anyway, embarrassing, Merle? But that tracks. Taako isn’t paying too much attention though, because he’s a little focused on getting the Real Live Girl out of the middle of the terrible axe fight.]
Oh, shit, okay, it’ll be fine, alright, just— Don’t worry about your face, I can fix faces—
[He isn’t all that strong but Sumire is pretty small, I think it’s reasonable to say he can at least drag her pretty good by the arm.]
Sumire is clearly not all that there right now, which is, uh. Understandable, considering the fact that she took an axe to the face. Even so, she's pretty small and Taako won't have any trouble dragging her away despite her total lack of coordination. She's sobbing a little now, cooperating as much as she can and even getting a few words out.]
I— I-I'm sorry, Taako-san.
[And of course that's her priority right now.
Guess Merle can join Ann and Lup in bleeding on the ground. Whoops. Time to skedaddle back to the sidelines where there are no convenient axes.]
However, as they run to the sidelines, everyone else just sort of stops to stare at them as they move away. And then the remaining Phantom Thieves, Merle, and the cheerleaders all begin to follow Taako and Sumire. ]
Why are you saying sorry, I’m not the one axed in the face! Jeezity Creezity!
[Merle, you’re okay?????? Well just. Taking this child and running for — is there one of those exits from the field around. Like you know the tunnels that go to the locker rooms. I know Football stuff.]
Shut the fuck up, Claire! It’s fucking half time! Send out Fantasy Gaga and get over it for a few minutes!
[Merle vored Magnus and absorbed his hit points. It's fine. We love you, zombie Merle.
Sumire finally lifts her head enough for Taako to see the damage. Or, at least, part of it. Her hand is firmly pressed against her left eye, a mess of blood dripping down her hand and cheek. A bit of damage is present on the bridge of her nose as well, though the brunt of it is definitely being obscured right now.]

The other cheerleaders cheer approvingly. ]
Good job! Look, our opponents are coming, so make sure they know we're going to kick their [ Claire looks straight at Taako. ] B-U-T-T!
