Well, everyone should be able to make something. And crafts are a way to express yourself! You get to show off your style and have something tangible in the end—there's nothing as satisfying as creating beautiful things. I can use flowers, crystals, string, fabric, glass... whatever I can get my hands on, really.

Chemistry is basically all about the building blocks of life. Haven't you ever wondered how ice turns into water when it melts, how fires start, or even how you can mix together some eggs, milk, and flour to make a cake?
[ here she opens the box to take out some vials and beakers—normal chemistry kit stuff—... and hey, a pair of lab goggles! safety first!! ]
You get to be really hands on with seeing all the different chemical reactions that make up almost everything you know. The sky's the limit!

[ while alyssa doesn't have a huge affinity for animals, even she can be swayed by tiny baby sweetheart. setting aside the tubes and placing them on the convenient little rack that came with the kit, she hurries off to a side room to get a nice fluffy towel and hold it open for hilda to place the nyan in. ]
How long were you out there...? [ she blinks a couple of times, then turns her head to look at hishi ] Oh, you're not allergic to cats, are you?
[ she's never taken care of a pet like this, but... hilda helps gently dry the kitten off amidst mewls, though she scoots over so hishi can take over the task for her. ]

[ alyssa wanders over to. whatever sort of living room they have. do we have a sofa?? but yes, wherever that happens to be, she plops the bundle of towel into hishi's lap so the two of them can get nice and friendly with each other...
