Um, the girl. She's someone really important where I'm from, to the point where there are various different organizations studying her. She's unaware of it all.

That may explain her own role—she certainly did not act the part of a king. She seemed far more occupied with being entertained, if anything.

Mm. She isn't interested in mundane things, and wants to look for stuff that's out of the ordinary. It's why she created the club in the first place.

Would that, perchance, involve the supernatural as well?

Mmhm. She wanted to find proof of anything that was out of the ordinary.

I see... I do have another question, on that note.

[ Once again he pulls out another sheet of paper; this time, it has a portrait of Knife Girl(tm) drawn on it. ]

Ruby and I encountered this girl within the castle; she pursued us with great determination, but she had said one thing I have been curious about—she had wanted the king– [ Rabbit's... friend? ] –to be left to her own devices, as to be the cause of another "reset".

What did this mean?

... I'm not sure who this is. She's also probably from where I'm from, but I don't think I've regained any memories of her yet.

But I think I know what she meant. Um, the girl--the king, she has special powers that could potentially cause a lot of damage. The organizations that are keeping an eye on her all have different theories on how it works, but there's a general consensus that she'd be able to rewrite the world if she ever got too bored of it.

I... think that, when you guys go to these places, they probably pull things from our memories that might potentially match up with the situations here.

No, I think this is our last chance. I don't think they're meant to give us very blatant answers when it comes to what you guys experience there.

Naught more than a parallel, then. I had been wondering what it meant... whether it was a true warning, or but another part of the memory.

I think the more important clues are the items people get. But um, I think you guys may have done some things... wrong... so you didn't get those.

[ He just. Looks at her tiredly, closes his eyes, and pinches the bridge of his nose. ]

Um, if it helps, the only reason I could even tell is because I've gotten back enough memories to realize it. So I wouldn't beat yourselves up over it.

Even so, what we could have potentially found may have been of great import to our overall cause. That we fumbled so is still a disappointment to hear.

... But if you say it is not worth dwelling too hard upon, then I shall not. Nevertheless, I should take responsibility—'twas mine own hand that ended it, after all.
