No, it's not better! But I've done it enough times in my life that I can actually handle it.

And you said it yourself: eventually someone on this team is going to have to do it. If someone has to do it anyway, why shouldn't it be me?

Just because I mentioned the method doesn't mean I think we should do it.

[ shiro, please. but wolf sighs a little ]

[Shiro is indeed oddly focused on the 'murder' part. But even though he's getting irritated, he does stop to ask something.]

What method do you think we should do instead then, huh?

Not the first thing that comes up that I remembered when the Realm was unstable, maybe?

[lionson]

[Shiro makes a disgruntled noise and runs his hand through his hair. He doesn't even realize it's weird for him to be so worked up, he's just got a really short temper today.]

Any OTHER ideas?

[ ... ] Starting to think I should've taken up the kid's offer to learn how to brew tea.

[Tea is good. And that statement confuses Shiro to the point where he's not getting angry anymore.]

[No he's not. He starting to pace, even.]

Constant murder trials will wear on anyone, you know.

Look. It's not caused by memory loss, because I know where the gaps in my memory are this week. I'm not worked up for no reason.

[At least he's acknowledging that he's worked up? Though not he feels silly about it, and that makes him a little embarrassed.]

Look, let's drop it for now. It's not even an issue on Monday. That wasn't even why I came to talk to you in the first place.

... Alright. [ they do drop it. reluctantly, because it still feels off, but. oh, well. ] So why did you come talk to me?

[lionson]

[He'll pull out the stone he got about a week and a half ago.]

A bunch of us got things like this. Can you tell if using them affects nova levels or not?

[retellers]

I don't think so. [ there's a pause ] Hard for me to tell for sure, though, since so few people have used them.

[lionson]

If I used it in front of you, could you watch and see if it affects levels at all? I don't mind using this one on me, for the sake of figuring things out.

[retellers]

If the updates were that obvious, we'd have had an easier time pinpointing the best way to get nova earlier. [ but they ? Look curious? ] What does yours even do, anyway?

[lionson]

Supposedly it makes someone think negatively for 24 hours.

[retellers]

Definitely don't try it out on yourself.
