That's what I said! But I don't have control over the healing glock that we're saving for an emergency. I'm an emergency. I can't sit down without pain.

I'm not joking. It'd be embarrassing if you reopened your wounds and you bled to death on the way back from the castle. [ okay, so the last part is joking which he shows by nudging her lightly when he sits down next to her flopped form. progress. ]

Aw, jeeze, you're right. I've already embarrassed myself enough today by being emotional in public, I'd rather not die on top of that. [ she allows the nudge, grinning. ] Hey, um. I wanted to say sorry, actually.

There's not much to say. It's out there now. [ he is looking at the flowers. ] Not like you can take it back.

[ she shifts. ] You didn't have to tell him the truth.

And I'm not telling him anything else, either. I asked him not to follow up and he spat in my face! So. We're not doing that again.

He's not the kind to let things go, and he knew enough telling him anything else wouldn't have worked. [ he shrugs, still looking out at the flowers. ] He's used to doing anything to get what he wants. [ ... ] Even asked that I stick to being mad at him instead of you.

[ she shifts to lay on her side instead, wincing. ]

He told me all that, too. [ she doesn't sound happy about it. ] I mean, this'd be the point normally where I'd point fingers at him and be like, yeah! See! He's the one to be mad at!

But uh, I respect you enough to not do that. I shouldn't have said anything. I learned my lesson - he's just using me to get ahead.
