wow. they're really making lup walk for them. ]

[ wolf is lucky that lup loves them so much

but she'll come visit, and she is wearing her glasses and her pirate outfit. ]

I cannot believe how much no fun you are. [ she tells them, flopping down. ] What's up.

[retellers]

[ damn, their secret plan to make lup give up. but, actually, wolf is... playing darts!! ]

Less with me than there is for you, though I guess you should know the update. Sounds like the disturbance is some kind of being that eats nova. Explains why it's a mess. [ wow! a perfect bull's eyes!!! ]

[evocationary]

Oh, fantastic. Is that why I'm starting to forget the finer details of the last few weeks? Because let me tell you, hate that.

[ she reaches into her robes and pulls out her gold star stickers. menacingly. ]

Did you just hear about this?

[retellers]

[ that's not an answer. ]

[evocationary]

That's not an answer! And don't tell me that or I will visit you every day! That is not a promise, it is a threat.

[retellers]

[ they sigh and send in another perfect dart :/ ]

We keep telling you guys we work on things when we're not in town. It's what we've got from there. It's not like I've been hiding it.

[evocationary]

Okay, so big... being is eating nova. Wow, talk about being uncomfortably close to my backstory. [ sniff. ] Do you know anything else about it? Does it like murder? Is it possessing you guys once a week to tell you to assign a hit to us?

[ but they'll still answer questions. maybe. ]

If a Leader is asking someone to kill, they're doing it of their own volition. [ they say that ... so casually ] Don't think the thing has noticed us yet. We're kind of on its trail.

[evocationary]

Neato. That's what I wanted to hear. I bet it's Goat. They nearly peed themselves when I accused them of being a traitor.

[ don't sound so proud of yourself ] You're on its trail, like - you know where it is? Does it have any influence other than like, just... eating memories?

[retellers]

More like the Realm itself is on that trail. It's been bringing us to memories that have been disrupted. [ they shake their head ] We don't know much about what it's like outside of consuming nova, but that's more than we had to go on even a few days ago.

[evocationary]

Bringing you to... what does that mean? Like physically, or.

[retellers]

We're not visiting space and pirates for a fun tour, Lup.

[evocationary]

Okay, I will throw a dart at you for attitude, first of all.

Second, I guess that makes sense. These are the disrupted memories that we're in. Okay. [ she hums. ] Okay, topic switch, I'll come back to this - what happens to the people who got removed?

You can't call me out for attitude and then ask me what happens when people are killed in public.

They're not going to show up as zombies.

I was thinking more, uh - like liches. But.

If we win, our wishes are definitely going to work, right? Like there's no uncertainty about that, we win and we get a wish that isn't a Monkey's Paw thing.

[retellers]

Leeches?

[ no. but they move on when she does, shaking their head ]

Yeah. There's no consequences or hidden clause involved.

[evocationary]

[ wow rude she's not a leech. ]

Mm. [ she looks over at the dart board. ] Is the team in first place the only team getting gifts?

[retellers]

[ wolf looks ... tired, and goes to fetch their darts ] The stickers and stuff? Yeah. That second notification you got, it's possible another team or two got that one as well.

[evocationary]

[ wolf always looks tired ]

I mean, a girl's not going to say no to a bunch of stickers, but. Kind of a weird gift to give, given the circumstances.

[ ... ] What's the difference between "particular success" and "overall success" - I assume like, the first is because got first place, but the second is just because Wolf team's been doing good at collecting nova... somehow.

Either by murdering or being murdered.

Particular success is for being in first. Overall is about the amount you've accumulated so far. Must've hit some kind of congratulatory threshold.
