I mean, a girl's not going to say no to a bunch of stickers, but. Kind of a weird gift to give, given the circumstances.

[ ... ] What's the difference between "particular success" and "overall success" - I assume like, the first is because got first place, but the second is just because Wolf team's been doing good at collecting nova... somehow.

Either by murdering or being murdered.

Particular success is for being in first. Overall is about the amount you've accumulated so far. Must've hit some kind of congratulatory threshold.

[ they do not say anything about the murdering or murdered part, ]

Just gonna skip over my theory there, huh.

The theory you and half the people here have that I'm telling my team to go wild and murder? I've heard it already.

[ they don't even sound offended about it? just kind of??? exhausted??? ]

Well - I'll tell you what. Goat was in like, second to last place this week, if I remember right. And someone on Goat team murdered, and they skyrocketed up in the rankings.

I don't actually care if you are or not, though. Just don't ask me to do it, if you are? If anything - I think you get more points by being murdered.

That's... a new one. How would that work?

I don't know, I'm just pretty sure Cater was on our team. And we stayed in first place, but Goat didn't replace us, even though there was a killer there.

But I don't know what team Sharon was on and I don't know who the other killer is so...

Nova's attracted by strong emotions, right? Being killed, uh... I feel like that's a pretty strong emotional response.

[ the rest takes them a little longer to answer, as they cross their arms in thought ]

I guess. Might mean Rabbit lost some too. I know you guys got some nova from voting this weekend.

[evocationary]

I fucking bet we did. Nothing like sending an innocent kid to his death and watching him get shot out an airlock, that's some, uh, some trauma for the old brain.

[ deep breath. ] I don't know. I still don't think the teams matter very much? Unless someone is really gunning for the wishes.

Yeah. Nova. That's what I meant. Voting correctly nets you nova. Couldn't pinpoint the source of everyone getting nova last weekend, so we assumed it was just that trial in general, but it had to do with votes. You can guess the net gain was a lot less than last time.

[evocationary]

Oh. [ that makes sense, now that they've laid it out for her. she nods a bit. ]
