... All right then. What did you want to do?

[reconnective]

Well...I've taken Rabbit sailing before. Swan and I usually just talk a lot, and Wolf I think tries to wait until I get bored but I've played a few games with him. I sparred with Tiger once because I said I'd teach her, and with Goat I just ask for opinions on stuff to try and understand.

[what does that have to do with anything?]

I dunno. I think you should get to do something you would really enjoy before this weekend comes and makes a mess. The boardwalk has some games and stuff, or we could just go to the beach?

[retellers]

Sure, we can go to the beach.

[reconnective]

Okay. [to the beach! which means sora begins to walk across the bridge to the north, waiting for fox to follow. ]

Do you remember if you've ever been before now?

[retellers]

[ they follow! ]

No idea, I'm afraid.

[reconnective]

Well, then take it from a resident beach dweller. You'll love it. It's one of the most relaxing places in the world.

[he is not at all biased.] ...but we can stick to the dock if you're not a fan of sand.

[retellers]

The dock is probably for the better, so that I don't have to contribute to the increasing laundry crisis of this week.

[reconnective]

[he probably shouldn't but he laughs slightly because. yeah. too real.]

Yeah...there's a reason I've been avoiding the bed most of the week. [the dock is close to the bridge at least and it means sora easily wanders that way, walking along toward the end right where the water's deep and alongside the reef. ] How about here?

[retellers]

Broken bones are convenient in that regard, at least.

[ no blood involved! at least for this break. ]

[that's a horrifying thing to write in brackets. but he nods and drops down to sit on the dock, immediately sliding out of his sandals to let his feet slip into the water. whatever. sharks can eat his feet, who cares.]

I've never broken a bone, so I'll have to take your word for it. Most of the time I've managed to avoid it. [but he hums lightly.] Are you doing okay? It doesn't hurt too bad, does it?

[retellers]

[ listen there are probably breaks out there that involve a lot of blood, what does jan know ]

It doesn't hurt as much as a broken bone probably should, so small mercies.

[reconnective]

[terrible anyway.]

Good. Sort of seems like the last thing you guys need. [he says this while he has a gaping hole in his chest but that's apparently fine and normal. give him a bit to kick the water just because he can.]

...this area's a little more your speed, I take it? [nice. normal. not so terrifying.]

[retellers]

It's nice, but I'm waiting to get kidnapped now.

[ look two times is enough to be a pattern ]

[reconnective]

That does seem to happen to you guys a lot. [why is it always a team, i'm crying.] And if it does, we'll come rescue you again. No big deal. Happens to one of my friends all the time.

[please don't compare fox to kairi.]

[retellers]

Wow, my hero.

[reconnective]

[he rolls his eyes a little.]

It's not like we'd just abandon you guys, you know. [...] That's why we agreed to do this all over again, isn't it?

[retellers]

[ cheerfully, ]

Well, strictly speaking, it sound more like you were trying to rescue the other participants, but thanks.

[reconnective]

Fox. [frowning.] ...if that's what I personally was doing back then, I'm sorry. But you guys are important, too. You're people. And you chose to redo this just like anybody else. So that's important to acknowledge.

[retellers]

What are you apologizing for? For all we know, the Leaders weren't even dead in that cycle. So, it's only natural that you wouldn't need to revive them.

[reconnective]

I just kind of feel like I should. We don't know about the last cycle. Or the cycle before that. Or however many cycles there've been to this stupid thing. But even if the leaders were all alive that time, there are two parts to our goal here. We bring everybody back, and we get everybody out of here to return safely to wherever they're going.

Even after this weekend, we aren't done yet. So I don't want to forget what else we need to do.

[retellers]

...is it? [he gives fox a curious look at that.] I don't want it to be something you don't actually want.

I mean, if I end up dying, I'd be a little insulted if you revived everyone but then deliberately left me behind, so yes.

[reconnective]

I'm pretty bad at leaving people behind, so I don't think that's ever going to be a problem. [...] Has anyone shown you the report people found recently?
