Still don't really know huh? [he doesn't seem to mind.] Well, that's okay.

[he will let them pet this chicken, but it's a convenient segue to one of the things he wanted to talk to them about anyway.] But...you've been getting some of your memories back, haven't you? I've heard a lot of the leaders are by now.

[retellers]

[ there is a pause, as they are trying to figure out what is okay to say to sora since he is not on their team, before they nod. ]

Mm. Yes, I have.

[reconnective]

[there's a smile.]

That's great! [...except he seems to consider something.] Are they nice memories? I was wondering if you could tell me a little about them even if we're not on the same team.

[if they understand the memories of the leaders, maybe they can figure out a better way to help them get more of them back.]

[retellers]

They're... um, more confusing than anything.

[ hm... ]

But... I think they might have been my friends? But we seemed to be trapped in some sort of cycle.

[reconnective]

[he looks equally confused then.]

A cycle...? What do you mean?

[retellers]

I guess a better way to say it is... a time loop? We kept repeating the same weeks, over and over.

[reconnective]

That's weird...do you remember what you were doing in those weeks at all? Maybe that'll explain the cycle.

[retellers]

I think that it was a specific person who was causing it, from what it sounded like. But she wasn't aware that it was occurring.

[reconnective]

[uh.]

Like a power? [that shouldn't be his first thought, but sometimes people just do things.] It must not be too bad. You don't seem scared.

[but here he just kind of hums and looks at the water under the bridge. the chicken clucks inquisitively.]

Sort of makes me think of what that monster told us in that memory. I don't know if you heard about that.

[retellers]

[ well, now that sora said that, rabbit is not going to mention that they were sobbing hysterically in the memory. moving on. ]

Hm... would you mind telling me about it? People only ever brought up that one report the other group found.

[reconnective]

[RABBIT NO.]

Oh. Yeah, sure. [...] I can tell you about the whole thing if you want, but at the very end there was this monster that was following me and Alex. Sometimes it looked like someone I fought before. Sometimes it looked like someone Alex knew. And other times it took on its true form as this huge monster with a ton of limbs.

But it said: "Do you believe you can change destiny? Time has already been written. There's nothing you can do, is there? Except try, try again. But you'll never make it."

Then, when my sword hit his, time froze. And he said: "not yet. But remember, this is your last chance."

[retellers]

[ ... huh.

they're quiet, contemplating the words. ]

And it was out of place? Compared to everything else that happened?

[reconnective]

Yeah. It felt really weird after the lab and the human experiments and the other monster we fought. Like...I dunno. Like it was more purposeful than just living through someone else's memory.

[retellers]

I see...

I'm not sure what it may mean. But... it's interesting, considering what the other group found.

[reconnective]

That's what I thought, too. Like it sounded like this has been done before, but nobody remembers that except for whoever wrote the report. [he taps his chin.] Do you think it really came from one of you guys?

[retellers]

I think that out of all of us, it sounds the most like Fox. But... that doesn't mean they wrote it.

... mostly since I don't think they would have unmasked before the rest of us did.

[reconnective]

Maybe Fox wrote it but they don't remember? [he doesn't think so, but it's plausible.] But it seems weird to think about since the report also said it was like they knew somebody else. That they were from the same place.

[...he pets the chicken as he thinks.] Have you guys unmasked for each other at all? Or is it still against the rules?

[retellers]

The same place...?

[ hm. they tap their chin. ]

Oh, no, we haven't yet.

[reconnective]

I think so. The report said something about them, the person they unmasked for, and somebody else all being from the same place.

...do you want to unmask at all?

[retellers]

Oh. I don't mind. We agreed to it last week since so many people kept asking us.

It was mostly just, um, weird to do it for people who didn't really try to get to know us. [ why would they unmask for people who made zero effort... ] So I mostly just do it if people ask me and we talk enough.

[reconnective]

No, that makes sense. [the chicken clucks its agreement.] I don't think I'd want strangers knowing my secrets either. I'm glad you have people you trust enough to do it.

[and there's a grin.] Maybe someday you can show me, too. [if they want. for now he's okay just vibin'.] Have people been treating you okay after they've seen who you are?

[retellers]

Hm... I could show you.

[but they nod at the question. ]

People have been very kind. I haven't gotten to do it for too many people though.

[reconnective]

I'm glad. I only know a few people from your team, but they're really nice. [...well. clementine is clementine but sora adores her so it's fine.] Plus it's kinda special that way. Like a good secret.

[...that said. he's very curious and it's very easy to read in his features.] If you're okay with it, I'd like to see you.
