You don't have to answer if this is personal, but I'm curious... Are things like exorcism common knowledge where you're from? From what I recall of my world, things like that would sound more like fiction--ah, no offence meant.

I wouldn't call it common. The word that I live in is separate from the world that others live in—not in the literal sense but most normal people can't see demons or the like so they never worry about it.
So, in that way, both is true. Exorcist are fictional to those who aren't part of it.
