the queen

On Wednesday, 9am, Sora will receive a message on his PHS.

Hey! Please come meet me at the castle right away!!

Upon receiving this message, Sora will notice that the castle appears closer than usual. Should he head towards it, he will finally be able to reach its entrance. Inside is a large hall with various doors, along with a staircase, but Sora will be able to access only a single door. Once he steps inside, he will find his Leader waiting for him.

After their meeting is over and he leaves the castle, he will no longer be able to reach the castle again.

As the Queen:
Every Wednesday, the Queen will be given a choice between three items to help them during the competition. Each item will have a positive and negative effect of equal value on the game. While they will be told the positive effect of each item before making their choice, the negative one will only be revealed to them once it has been made. Choose wisely.

Additional notes:
The Queen will be allowed to ask questions about the ongoings of the games and communicate with their Leader in their weekly meetings. They will be able to also receive small hints in the game should they perform well. However, the information received will be up to their Leader's discretion.

Okay. [ the offer is out there if Sora wants to take her up on it anyway. This one she tilts her head ] The compass can point you towards evidence you've missed. Which...might not be the week for it.

[there's a nod and a slight nudge of his head into her shoulder as a thank you.]

Absolutely not. [no.] ...we're working with the Foxes. Blanca knows who we're killing, and we know who to frame to make things work in our favor. I'd rather not take any chances of tipping off everybody else.

[which...he feels shitty about just because there's a difference between having people be killed, killing bad people, and actively planning to kill someone he considers a friend. but he can't focus on that, so oh well.]

...and the broach?

That makes an energy shield! This one's a repeat. [ she sighs ] Sorry, this week is kind of a dud, isn't it?

Wasn't sure if it was the same. [he grins though.] It's okay. It's not like you're the one picking this stuff.

[but...hmmmm.] Swan? Is it a guarantee that this should be our last weekend doing this? The last two teams are doing kills to meet the numbers to save the dead, but...after that.

I don't know what'll happen for sure after Sunday. Just that... we'll hit the time limit we were given last cycle. [ she hums in thought ] But that doesn't tell us about after, or how we get out of here, or what we'll need to get out.

...I was thinking about going to talk to Fox. I think he's the one who wrote the reports people found, so I want to see if he has any insight on stuff. As long as we're in the time limit, we should be okay for saving our friends.

I'm just thinking...even if these aren't useful now, maybe they will be later. Especially if that monster's still out there.

He definitely wrote the reports. It's either him or Wolf, and Wolf would've said if they were his. [ because goat can't type and none of the girls sound like that ]

But I think you're right. There's definitely going to be something more after all this. I just... Don't know what.

Yeah. Cl--Wolf's not really the type of person to keep extensive notes anyway. So...Fox it is. If he'll talk to me, maybe I can find something out.

...I was hoping maybe one of you did, but the Realm really doesn't want us to know what's happening now. Like it didn't expect us to make it this far. It's kind of scary to think about. We can't even prepare this way.

... We might learn more this weekend. We learn something new every time someone kills, but if what I got means anything, it's always a memory of a past cycle. We can do things better on this one because of all the mistakes we've made.

[ she pauses, looking at the table ]

It makes me wonder how much of what we knew was actually the Realm and what was... knowledge from previous rounds.

Yeah...that makes sense. Like past versions of yourself are helping future versions instead. I've done something like that before. [casually talking about timetravel, as you do.] Maybe you're right. Maybe the Realm really doesn't have anything to do with this and it's been us all along.

[...] And the rest of us, too. It's our past knowledge, too, even if different people have died and different people have lived. What if this isn't the right combination either?

It has to be. I remembered everyone talking about it. [ with confidence? ] What happens after, I don't know, but this is what we have to do.

[...] But what do we do until then?

... Well, there's still going to be whatever happens later today. And then we have to get through the weekend. [ she shakes her head and huddles up to sora a little more ] ... Enjoy the beach?

[ weakly. ]

[...don't mind him suddenly flushing a little but he's busy burrowing his face into swan's shoulder.]

I am. Even if that whole statement suddenly fills me with way more dread than I started with today.

[ she laughs a little because she can peek at him flushing ]

Why dread?

Because I can only imagine what kind of weird things the Realm's gonna have us do with a carnival.

[plus, even with a practically fool-proof plan, it's scary to think taako or homura could get caught.]

It's a carnival, how bad could it be?

[ don't answer that. she grabs sora's hand and squeezes ]

Everything will work out. I promise.

Yeah. Yeah, I know. [he just needs to calm down a little...so handholding it is.]

...how bad do you think the "bad" would be for those gumballs?

... It wouldn't get worse than anything you guys have seen from other items, I think. [ is she allowed to say this much? well. it's fine. ]

...so I could possibly turn somebody else into a llama? [please stop focusing on the llamas.]

Swan! [he's trying not to look amused.] But it'd be like...that level of bad, right? Not like I'll accidentally get somebody hurt sort of bad. Hypothetically.

Hypothetically, the good things should be similar to what's been seen before in items, so...

...as funny as it is, I'm wondering if the broach would be more fitting since we still have no idea what's going to happen after this weekend. Or if we'll have another meeting like this. Right?
