the queen

On Wednesday, 9am, Sora will receive a message on his PHS.

Hey! Please come meet me at the castle right away!!

Upon receiving this message, Sora will notice that the castle appears closer than usual. Should he head towards it, he will finally be able to reach its entrance. Inside is a large hall with various doors, along with a staircase, but Sora will be able to access only a single door. Once he steps inside, he will find his Leader waiting for him.

After their meeting is over and he leaves the castle, he will no longer be able to reach the castle again.

As the Queen:
Every Wednesday, the Queen will be given a choice between three items to help them during the competition. Each item will have a positive and negative effect of equal value on the game. While they will be told the positive effect of each item before making their choice, the negative one will only be revealed to them once it has been made. Choose wisely.

Additional notes:
The Queen will be allowed to ask questions about the ongoings of the games and communicate with their Leader in their weekly meetings. They will be able to also receive small hints in the game should they perform well. However, the information received will be up to their Leader's discretion.

I saw! Wolf's right? I'm surprised Lup isn't it.

Yeah! I am, too. But some of the others were thinking that maybe the last role doesn't belong to a certain leader. It doesn't make a ton of sense, but...[he frowns.] Wolf won't tell Lup if he has one, and I doubt he'll tell me even if I asked.

I don't know. This was always meant to be a fair competition, so it'd be weird if Wolf was the only one without one... Wouldn't it?

[ she sounds unsure herself tho ]

Swan, I don't know if it's been fair for a while now. Not since Virid was asked to kill Hajime. I really want to find this person, but I can't figure out who to ask or what to do. Wolf's team only has three other members besides Lup. Clementine's checking at least one of them, but I don't know about the rest.

And...I got my hint on Saturday from the fast pass. I got what the first part meant, but maybe you could look at the second and see what you think?

I don't know. Since I don't know what the last role may be, I can't help you with figuring out which it is if he does have one. [ there's a beat ] The second part? Sure?

...the King makes the rules. That's Emet-Selch. The Queen is me. The Bishop is Clementine and she can see who's on what team and if they have a title. The Rook is Blanca, and he can stay awake on Thursday nights to check areas around the Realm. The Knight is Xie Lian. He can protect someone from dying.

We're missing the Pawn. Xie Lian says he tried to use his power to protect Hikaru, but it was like he was blocked. He and Goat couldn't figure out what happened since Xie Lian was able to protect somebody else instead without issue. They were thinking that might've been role-related.

[people filled him in after he showed up to the meeting bloody and burnt.]

...apparently only our team's icon flashed this weekend, too. Which means Hikaru's killer didn't register somehow, and I can't understand why yet.

[but he will pull out his phs. is the hint still there? you guys didn't tell me it disappeared, so he will grab this image to show her.] Take a look at the bottom corner.

[ Yeah the hint was still there. Swan looks pensive as he talks, and then leans to look at the image ]

Umm... you mean these? [ she points ] Aren't those ghosts?

...oh that makes...way more sense. [GOD.] Well. Good thing no one else saw that.

Yeah, it's all about Hua Cheng. [ she makes a face ] I mean, it worked out for us so you knew to help cover for him, but it would've been nice to get a hint at what happened with the other one too.

Maybe Xie Lian was on the right track and that person's role doesn't count for some reason. We never even found Hikaru's sword.

...[ugggggh.] Maybe I'll go ask Wolf after all. We sort of have a new understanding now.

Because you know him, right? So weird... [ she leans back ] What did Xie Lian with "doesn't count", anyway?

Yeah. He looks a little different, but he's still the same person. [it's fine, he'll protect cloud too.] I think it was like...since nobody else's icon flashed, we think maybe if the Pawn killed someone, it didn't count as a kill for the Realm. So it would mean someone's team needs to do another kill if they aren't one of the ones that's done two already.

Maybe... [ she tilts her head, pensive ] All this math is hard to keep track of. Do you know if anyone's icons flashed when Virid killed?

I don't think so. But I think some of the others are looking into that. I still don't really know who his leader is, but I can guess. It just doesn't make sense and I don't want it to be right.

[ poooookes his cheek ]

Who?

Wolf or Fox. I don't know how to ask either of them, and I don't want it to be either of them.

Why those two?

Wolf's team has two kills already. And...I don't know, I just have a suspicion about Fox, but I don't want to ask because I actually like Fox and I'm sure there would've been a reason for it.

Either way I can't prove anything yet.

A suspicion about Fox... [ they don't know fox that well, so, they just. shrug. ] I don't know. I can't even begin to guess, still. Ughhh.

That's okay. I'll keep looking and try to figure stuff out on my own so we can compare notes together.
