THE KNIGHT On Monday, at 11pm, Xie Lian will receive a message on his PHS. come to the castle and be discreet. it is important. Upon receiving this message, Xie Lian will notice that the castle appears closer than usual. Should he head towards it, he will finally be able to reach its entrance. Inside is a large hall with various doors, along with a staircase, but Xie Lian will be able to access only a single door. Once he steps inside, he will find his Leader waiting for him. After their meeting is over and he leaves the castle, he will no longer be able to reach the castle again. As the Knight: Every Monday, the Knight will be given the chance to protect 1-2 participants in two different ways, active only for the current week. They may choose to apply both means of immunity to the same participant, or they can pick a different person for each one. Or, if they so wish, no one at all. The two forms of protection are active only as long as the Knight is still alive and are as follows:
2.) They can give one participant immunity from execution on Sunday. If this participant is voted for at trial, they will survive their execution. However, they cannot be aware or harbour strong suspicions that they are protected, or else the immunity will fail. Additional notes: The Knight will be allowed to ask questions about the on-goings of the game and communicate with their Leader in their weekly meetings. They may receive small hints should they perform well. However, the information received will be up to their Leader's discretion. |

...I've heard it from two other leaders, now - or, from two other people on two other teams. I'd like to check it against as many Leaders as I can, just to confirm it, but...
Short of the lack of revival of the removed, what do you think maybe such a "deadline" could entail? Could there be a Realm based consequence, besides being unable to bring the others back...? [ which is the worst consequence. i am failing at wording this the way i want to ]

Someone else might know more... but I don't think there should be a consequence. If I had to guess, it may simply be that the pathway to the removed can no longer be stabilized further at that point.
Though I cannot be certain of this.

...With the way things are right now, this week is going to be rough. I'd heard the deadline was the Friday after this one... so I suppose if someone was killed on Thursday of next week, it still wouldn't work, since we wouldn't be able to have a trial.
[ ahhhh... he reaches up to rub the space between his brows. ] ...I just want to minimize as much violence as we possibly can. I hate that this seems to be our only solution to returning the removed to us.
I'll ask some of the other Leaders and see what I can find out, and I'll let you know what I find...

...I know... we talked about the splintering of Miss Hikaru - or, rather, how that might not be it - last week, but...something about it has been bothering me again. I've been able to make contact with most of the others who have abilities like mine, but there's still someone eluding us.
Could that strange situation be connected to a role?

... Perhaps. All I know about the other roles comes from what you have learned, though. However, that means we can't say the possibility doesn't exist.

It's the only thing I can think of that could cancel me out - another role. Soo-won mentioned that only one team leader's icon flashed this week, as far as his sources said. I am aware of the team of the person who killed Alyssa, and those two matched.... so, either the person who killed Miss Hikaru is also on that same team, or something else is at play. I checked with that Leader, too, and they also thought it was odd, so I'm thinking it may be the latter.
[ he taps his finger against his nose, thoughtful. ] Unfortunately, that is the only person that we have yet to be able to locate - I have not met one other person, but we should be meeting them later this week, since another role holder knows of them.
Do you know if it's possible for a role holder to move from team to team? Or... could there be a team with more than one?
[ a beat, and then, he waves a hand, smiling a bit sheepishly. ] -- Ah, I know, this is a lot of questions that you may not know the answer to... I'm thinking out loud, but I think Brother Goat has always been helpful when I do so.

I cannot be certain of anything, but if either of those is possible, I do not know of it. At the very least, I was never given a reason to think a team could possess more than one, or that such a power would arbitrarily move between teams.

I have a theory that perhaps the final piece that is missing has gotten stronger, somehow, based on what I read, and what San Lang and I discussed about it. Perhaps because we've missed out on finding it for so long.

Do you think so...? I would think that the power among the pieces is equal, but I cannot say.

Since we're in the sixth week of all of this, I wonder if perhaps the "pawn" piece has successfully gotten stronger - and, if it is connected to Miss Hikaru's splintering, then that may be why her symptoms could have been so severe.
...Of course, that's all merely speculation, but right now, it is the only theory I have.
