THE KNIGHT On Monday, at 11pm, Xie Lian will receive a message on his PHS. come to the castle and be discreet. it is important. Upon receiving this message, Xie Lian will notice that the castle appears closer than usual. Should he head towards it, he will finally be able to reach its entrance. Inside is a large hall with various doors, along with a staircase, but Xie Lian will be able to access only a single door. Once he steps inside, he will find his Leader waiting for him. After their meeting is over and he leaves the castle, he will no longer be able to reach the castle again. As the Knight: Every Monday, the Knight will be given the chance to protect 1-2 participants in two different ways, active only for the current week. They may choose to apply both means of immunity to the same participant, or they can pick a different person for each one. Or, if they so wish, no one at all. The two forms of protection are active only as long as the Knight is still alive and are as follows:
2.) They can give one participant immunity from execution on Sunday. If this participant is voted for at trial, they will survive their execution. However, they cannot be aware or harbour strong suspicions that they are protected, or else the immunity will fail. Additional notes: The Knight will be allowed to ask questions about the on-goings of the game and communicate with their Leader in their weekly meetings. They may receive small hints should they perform well. However, the information received will be up to their Leader's discretion. |

I'm sure even just watching, you saw the mess that happened this week. Are there abilities in play like the one I was gifted that can change others state of being or mind...? Sort of like those strange items, but those were quite short lasting, weren't they?

I have heard a bit about other things happening, but I don't know where they're coming from. It's possible that a Leader has an ability they haven't stated, since it's not as if we necessarily talked about all of ours, or perhaps a participant has obtained some kind of additional ability...

[ whoa, he hadn't even thought of that. ] How could a participant gain something like that? Like I regained this [ he gives a wiggle of his right hand, where a string is tied around his ring finger ] from collecting nova...?
It was such a curious effect that I thought perhaps it was like the items, since they've made people act or behave a certain way.

Perhaps... though if it was a power regained from gathering enough nova, I feel as though more people would have their abilities returned as well, and would speak about it. Hm...

Speaking of nova - did we get those things back from participating in that... um, "invasion", on Wednesday? Soo-won said that Wednesdays and Saturdays are the days where we generate the most nova, and I think that definitely made sense last week.

Anything you receive at the end of the week are because our team, as a whole, has gathered a sufficient amount of nova. In that sense, participating in what happened assisted, but it wasn't the direct cause.

[ xie lian munches on his sandwich, thoughtful. ] Did we generate nova by catching the correct person, too? I know you said that the killings don't necessarily cause it to rise all that much, so, what about victories, instead of losses? Hollow though they may be.

I don't think it can necessarily change a person's personality in itself. However, if memories were blurred, then I suppose a person might behave strangely as a result, hypothetically.

...I slept in the same place as Laine, on Thursday night. He mostly seemed normal, but at the beginning of the night, he was pacing and fidgeting a lot... I didn't notice anything else off, but afterwards, I started to wonder.

We don't know much about it... Just that it's siphoning nova and is what caused the original disturbance, for which everyone was brought to fix, before Virid... made things worse.

It's possible that eating nova related to everyone's suffering is influencing it... though I can't say for sure.

xie lian reaches up briefly to rub between his brows. ] Ah... I feel like we're on the verge of figuring something out, but I don't know what that something is... there are so many parts to it that I don't know where to begin.
[ so close, but so far. ] I was able to find my teammate last week. With the addition of that new rule... Brother Goat, that means that you, or any other leader, would be susceptible to all of the things that we are, doesn't it?
