MEMORIES
MEMORIES By default, each character will lose at least one memory each Monday. Please submit the memory that your character is losing by Monday at 11:59am EST at the latest. We recommend that you submit it on the Sunday before the given week (e.g. submit W2's memory loss on W1 Sunday). You are welcome to lose multiple memories each week if you wish, in which case please submit any additional memories by the given week's Wednesday at 3pm EST. The first one is still due by Monday, though! As for what counts as a memory they can lose, they can be memories of events, people, places, etc. They can also be more general, such as forgetting a skill. For more unconventional ideas, feel free to ask the mods and we will judge them on a case-by-case basis. Not every memory has to be super important to the character; you are free to do shitposts if you'd like. We don't want to dictate too much how you all choose to do your memloss arcs, so you have to choice to lean as much into the mechanic as you are comfortable with. However, at least some of the memories should be something important to the character, even if it's not all. But the level of importance for those are up to you. Characters will have the chance to regain their memories over the course of the game, depending on the actions they take. The mods will inform you if you have gained such an opportunity. Per the example below, please post a top-level for your character, and reply to it with another comment (see example). You will reply to this top-level to report your memory losses, and the mods will use it to report changes for your character, such as memory regains. All comments to this post will be screened. Use the following form when submitting a memory loss:
Memory Type: Is it a memory of an event, person, place, skill, etc. Memory: A description of the memory here! Feel free to go as detailed as you want to here. While you don't have to give us paragraphs of explanation, we should at least get the idea of what the character is forgetting and how important it is to the character. |
