i will do a little jabbering here because actually alex also really respected lup for the... reasons that lup would like to improve in herself? alex sees herself as a bit too meek sometimes, and unable to help where it matters, so lup's strong attitude and ability to talk back are actually things she wouldn't mind being able to do herself. also, her bravery -- throwing herself right into things and just dealing with them instead of worrying about them from the sidelines and feeling like she wasn't contributing. ironically some of that no-nonsense attitude maybe made her a little... uncertain? talking to her. like she was being a bother, or a pain to talk to, and she only really worked around that a bit too late in the game to strike up a meaningful friendship -- which is why she admitted that in the endgame tasks. lup is someone she regrets not speaking with more, especially when it was apparent how many mutual people they cared for.

it's fine, in a doomed timeline they were absolutely a power couple. for sure. also alex... i think.... really never saw blanca in that way. partially because i got clocked so hard around the head with the mod's rng and she fell for hansa pretty fast. maybe in another doomed timeline lup/blanca/alex was a power thruple though. we just don't know.

(she likes blanca platonically though, and if lup was heading the SS Alexsa, Alex was definitely on board the SS Blupca. they were very cute, and seemed happy with each other.)

(i lowkey hope in post-game land lup keeps in touch with chiron, and she and alex get to chat more and become friends under their own steam because GIRL FRIENDSHIPS. 🥺 )
