ARA...................... one day I will return the favor, I cannot retire from mgs until I have. anyways Kano's rankings are basically people he likes vs people he hates, bc I finally play a character who would have this sort of polarized opinion instead of just being universally okay with people. Jeanne's was 32, 31... she did not change very much bc she did not die and therefore Kano had no further interaction with her, there was a lot of shuffling around in the first half of the list once more people died and he got to knowing them ):
They didn't talk very much but Jeanne was just... really idealistic to the point that he couldn't stand it, their ideals just clashed really bad... Kano's canonpoint has him in a place where he's at the end of his rope and Jeanne saying that she would sacrifice her life to save people made him bristle bc it's not that easy, in his circumstances. He also had a Time dealing with his older sister sacrificing herself to keep him and his siblings safe so hearing that Jeanne would sacrifice herself for people made him really mad haha It doesn't matter that he basically does the same thing and would throw his life away for his siblings, but the difference is that he believes his life is worthless and therefore expendable, while Jeanne is a good person and should not have to die for the sake of others. Jeanne also tried to get to know Kano and tell him that he is important and a person worth knowing and he was very adverse to all of that... I'm glad they talked about wishes, though, and I'm glad Jeanne's wish was what it was, because Kano felt 1000% justified in his execution plans that he made a half-assed attempt to explain to Jeanne about and it was just Kagerou shit.
He figured that the people in this place are all good people, who would have wishes similar to Jeanne's. Whoever his executioner is, if he manages to kill them and then himself after, they will both get swallowed up by the Snake into the Kagerou Daze, but since he's already housing a Snake, it would have to jump into the other person instead and revive them along with a wishβ and a good chance it would be something like having everybody escape this place. Everybody (else) escapes! They don't have to go through with the killing game! Kano is faithless and has no hope for a golden end so this was the best he could do in his circumstances. Anyways it didn't happen and then the Snake theory got debunked and Kano went "hm" and never mentioned it to anybody again, Kano did not like Jeanne but he believed very strongly in her being a good person or something.
