So uh WEEK FIVE. A lot happened week five and im so tired card

She'd just come in from being cursed by Emet-Selch's Wonder Powers to be calm no matter what so she was sitting on a week's worth of pent up emotions, plus she splintered, PLUS she GOT KILLED and she had to just BE CALM WHILE GETTING KILLED and while it could have been much worse (how????) it still left her in a really shaky spot, so when she ended up in the graveyard she just ran for the hills

When he showed up, she assumed he was there to get angry at her or poke fun at her or tear her apart for all the stupid stuff she'd done or for dying when she promised to stay alive and find him. And she was just so utterly tired at this point that she lost a lot of her fight. He tried to get her to do something stupid to get her mind focused on something else, and she shot him down, and he bitched back at her and she STUCK A SWORD IN HIS FACE SHE WAS SO SO SO TIRED........

This was an important crack, I think, in where they were. That he'd finally hit a big enough nerve to force something out of her that wasn't just protagonist bullshit, that she slipped on her temper without slipping on her ideals or what she wanted to do, and he still challenged her and made her voice out how she was feeling, and made her monolgue and even tried to prompt her to lash out. But he refused to lash out at her, saying it wasn't worth it, so what reason did she have to do the same to him?

She got to try to voice her reasoning for why she kept coming back, and why she wouldn't raise her sword against him even though during that thread there was literally a sword there, because she absolutely could kill him at any point, and she knew it, and he now knew it, but she had no reason to hate him. She hated a lot of stuff that he did and said and whatever it was that made him the person he was, but Shuuya himself? No, she didn't hate that.

He dropped the act for a bit, and they were both so utterly tired that she was able to keep herself honest without shoving into his space which was SO IMPORTANT THAT SHE LEARNED TO BACK OFF AND IM CRYING A LOT CARDORI, but that she let him quietly voice things, and she kept her distance, and told him he could call her stupid every second since she broke part of her promise by dying. He asked her if she would stay with him even if she knew he had to kill somebody, and she didn't hesitate to say yes, because that reason was his own.

And FINALLY FIVE WEEKS INTO THIS STUPID GAME HE INTRODUCED HIMSELF BY NAME AND I CRIED ON MY FUCKING KEYBOARD. He said it was a part of himself that couldn't stay, that he had a role, but she accepted that, and let him know she would be there whenever he was ready, and the fact that he went through all this and didn't snap back at her, didn't make it a joke, let himself be dead and bitter and beaten and still kept talking to her made her feel that maybe she was starting to understand him closer to a way he wanted to be understood. Nothing perfect, and she couldn't give him the hatred that made him most comfortable, but she found that crack and she tried to keep an eye on it.

This is about the time that she told him what happened with the curse and why she was off being a giant ass crybaby about it, and he called her out! And considering Kano being Kano he actually did it very nicely, even though she was extremely embarrassed about it. But she recognized that he was trying to do something nice for her in a weird way and it really was touching.

And then they held hands consensually. This was also important considering /sweats at kagepro lore later/ and hikaru wouldn't know how important this was but aaaaaaaa

She found about his letter crimes later that day, and that... really hurt. Really really hurt, to find out that he was the reason Bucky probably died, that he was the reason Claude ended up having a breakdown, that he was the reason she thought Raven was so upset at her. But she had an idea why, and she was just so exhausted that she couldn't be bothered to fight him over this and was too guilty to really bring it up and it's very sad. :(

And then the play happened and I HAVE TO MAKE ANOTHER ONE OR I'M GOING TO FUCKING DIE CARD anyway play gets its own section and you fucking know why
