anyways. tlcr me i love kano though i don't understand him at all

:P = Hansa signed his letter with a smiley so Kano reciprocated to let him know this is specifically in response to his letter, meanwhile I oocly was so distraught bc I could not reconcile the image in my head of Hansa using smileys
Ever rock climbed? = Kano saying that he's part of Goat's team, because out of the other animals, goats are able to climb near vertical cliffs
When we get out, let's go with the arc and my three siblings too! = the Arc alludes to animals as a whole, aka the teams. Three siblings means that there were three other goats in the graveyard at the moment besides Kano.
Also Mary, even if she and Seto will be a pair of lovebirds the whole time, bleh. = there are two swans in the graveyard
Also Seto's half dozen woofs and yips! = total of six Wolves and Foxes, which was originally written as "dogs and cats" bc I struggled to find a good allusion for foxes, decided that they're like cats, and completely forgot Tigers even existed bc Kano hated Tiger the most and also we didn't know Virid's team until endgame so at that point there were no known Tigers in the graveyard
Barely took our first step out the door and the dogs already zoomed off = everybody is tied for kills except Wolves who are way ahead, I think at the time, every team had one kill each and Wolf team met their quota
There was effort involved................. and then a week or so later Hansa messaged him back like "hey you never responded to my very important question about teams" and Kano was all "I SURE FUCKING DID" and I think that was the last time he decided he would be useful or make any more effort HAHAHA
anyways...... the cr we had was very precious to me... like before he died and before the trial even, Hansa was the only person Kano really opened up to about just how tired he was about everything and a little about why he is the way he is, and it was just the whole priest thing... Their first few threads was just Kano playing around and Hansa playing along which he thought was great! But the party thread, man. I appreciated that thread so much bc here is Hansa, a man of God, and here is Kano, somebody who has so much beef with God and has for so long and could never voice it— and getting to say "Fuck God" to Hansa was Kano saying "fuck you" to an entity he can project a face upon and feel like he's actually speaking to God and being listened to for once, for all the other times in his life he cried and prayed and scorned a God who's abandoned him. He knew he was being unfair, taking out his frustrations at Hansa who did nothing wrong and questioning his beliefs when that is RUDE you don't just DO that, but he'd never been able to have an honest conversation to god before so it was just like this. If Hansa speaks for God, then maybe he can answer all of Kano's questions he's had buried for so long, of why God had to take his family, of why God had to leave Kano behind. He felt very lost and this conversation was very precious to me ): Noah's Arc was very precious to me ): Hansa is a priest and Kano still believes in God to some extent so he dumped all his confessions on Hansa ): And it was very much a relief to be able to tell somebody all of this— partly because Hansa is a priest, and that makes it easier on Kano bc he can tell himself he's not saying all of this bc Hansa is a friend or bc Hansa cares about him or anything like that, he can keep it 100% professional with no emotional ties, he can tell himself this lie. It was really important to Kano that Hansa came into their last conversation and opened with whether Kano was happy, after a night of people coming to him and asking if he had regrets, bc happiness is a driving force for him and he does a lot of what he does for the sake of future happiness and he can't know whether Hansa really understands this but for a moment he can pretend. Also he got to talk about his family... he got to talk about his DAD. His high school teacher god serial killer father... Thank you for this opportunity, Crystal, whew.

also asdlfkhj the rankings is just everybody put in order from the person Kano likes best to the person he hates the most and I did the first one on 10/21 and was going to call it good but then I had to redo it for 11/21 before trial bc some opinions shifted around (': It's boring lore. Hansa got bumped up bc he wrote Kano at least one letter and Kano was just beegun at people who did not send him letters bc I'm a fool who thought you guys could send them whenever
