hero buddy!! ok so we had talked about this pre-game that sora and ochako would probably be friends and so going in i knew they would end up bonding right away. and they did! ochako and sora are both the same brand of optimistic hero that tries their best while being resident genkis. the difference i think came from their w1 cyoas because while sora just kind of coasted past his and was more focused on what it meant, ochako's was traumatizing for a variety of reasons and i feel so bad even though this wasn't even my fault.

but overall, ochako was someone he would consider a friend without question. he loved spending time with her and always found himself in a good mood when he was around her (and wasn't even REALLY mad when they were in the mansion with yona and they tried to convince the ghost-butler he and yona were a couple) and moreso than that he really wanted to know more about her. there's a difference between becoming a hero on accident and becoming one by going to school and really making a career out of it and that's the part he focused on. her entire world and entire view, the idea of going plus ultra, was something he agreed with and something he subconsciously was already doing without noticing.

when he realized ochako lost the memory of being a hero, it was actually kind of devastating to think about because to him it felt like something that meant ochako didn't realize how great and powerful she could actually be. i think there was a lot of lowkey admiration for her throughout the game because he always admires people that work hard and know how to deal with things even when the deck is stacked against them. ochako is someone who was affected by this game and it was upsetting in the way it always is when your friends are sad and things happen and you want to help and you don't know how.

he did, at least, feel pretty bad about having to go to the swans and tell them they were going to kill ochako. but he also trusted her to understand why but i think he's always going to feel a little bad for a long time.

basically, ochako was a good friend, he does wish they had gotten to hang out more especially in the later weeks, but he likes her a great deal and can't wait to see how uravity turns out as a fully-licensed hero
