Look... Listen...................... Please understand I was crying a lot as people messaged the graveyard asking for hints re: Raven and Sumire's killer, and Sumire furiously shook her head in the background like don't you dare.
Which is to say, Sumi liked Ange a lot! Not spending more time with her prior to her death was one of her big regrets, and she's sad they didn't get to be curfew buddies for a longer period of time. However, she was super thankful for her for 1) accepting the job, 2) giving her time to cope despite having the opportunity to shank her extremely injured ass on the spot, and 3) just being patient with her. Hilariously, canon prepared her for the personality change whiplash — and she just nodded and accepted that this was just A Thing Ange Did. It did not lower her opinion of her in the slightest.
She definitely wished she could have gotten to know her better in the end, and knows Ange probably had motives Sumire didn't know about considering the fact she murdered Raven on her own — but, eh. She still stans. Assume that as long as Ange doesn't ghost her/die/throw her PHS in the ocean, she will get a periodic text message or two asking how she and Dorothy are doing. Let her be your friend, binch.
But you know who also thought he was a good boy?? Sumi!
Honestly, she wishes she could have hung out with him more without her gently clutching her pearls in response to something he did. But despite that, she genuinely liked him and appreciated what little time they spent together. There's a lot about him that she doesn't understand, but the conversation they had prior to his execution really resonated with her. Like, binch, you made bad decisions that resulted in death because you had anxiety? Me, too!
It really stuck with her, and pushed her to check herself more often before jumping to any conclusions. She's generally a jittery sort of character and a lot of the things he did in the GY freaked her out, but she never thought he was a bad person and tried to understand his reasoning as much as she could. Mostly, because she thinks it's owed to him after what happened in that trial. But partly, because he struck her as someone who people don't listen to very often, and she kind of wanted to be someone he could always count on to hear him out.
TL;DR she will beat up anyone who says he's a bad person and Kano should absolutely expect some texts checking in on him every now and then if he doesn't immediately destroy his PHS or die in his current timeline. It's fine.
TRAGICALLY she doesn't have a super fleshed out opinion on Alex due to dying halfway through the game. But she does think she's super cool, and kind of looked up to her in "I want to be a little bit like that when I grow up" sort of way. Which is to say, she saw Alex as someone kind, levelheaded and polite; traits that Sumire really values and would like to embody. It also helped that Kano tasked her with delivering his Ayano doll to Alex, which really boosted Sumi's opinion of her despite not being close to either of them. Like, Alex must really be an amazing person if this teen's literal dying request is for her to take care of his emotional support doll.
That said, Sumi really did like Alex and enjoyed the few conversations they had! I'm so sad I didn't get to thread with Alex more before Sumi lost her head, but gently reaches for more Becks CR in future games...
