GRAVEYARD 2.0
GRAVEYARD Well, that sucked. But no matter what your death was like—whether it was something peaceful or traumatic, you'll find yourself waking in a completely white room on the floor. Small and empty, there isn't anything else there besides an open door to walk through. But before you do that, you'll probably notice that whatever injuries you may have had, including whatever may have been the death blow, are now gone. That's exciting. Stepping out of the room, it seems that you're in a large... house? with three different floors. Everything from floor, ceiling to furniture is completely white, except for the drawings that are plastered to the walls in each room. These are all colorful, drawn in colored pencils and crayon, and resemble a child's drawing. The other notable thing are the windows. While they're present all around the building, looking out of them only shows TV static. Besides that, everything is furnished with the absolute bare minimum of each room. The first floor is all typical common areas one would find in a house. There's a kitchen, living room area, laundry room, dining room, and a main hallway where the stairs are. There are also helpful drawings in these rooms that show the rooms much more lavishly decorated than they actually are. There's a door that appears to be the way to exit the building, it's locked. The second floor consists of nothing but twenty bedrooms. Each room has one queen sized bed, an empty dresser, and an attached bathroom with only a sink, toilet, and shower. Like the first floor, each bedroom has drawn pictures that show it looking much more lavish than it actually does. Thanks for nothing, artist! The third floor only has two rooms. One appears to be a home office with nothing but a desk and two chairs, one behind it and one in front of it. While there's blank pieces of paper and crayons on the desk, the note that was previously there is gone. The other room is much larger, and it's completely empty save for the many drawings lining its walls— in fact, the walls are covered in them, much more than in any other room. On closer inspection, though, it seems like these aren't actually drawings? The papers seem to be showing scenes from the living area. Everything from inside the hotel to the areas beyond the bridge are visible here. However, when curfew hits on Thursday nights, they revert to being normal drawings! Except for the fact that they're all drawings of stick figures being murdered in various ways. Well. At least there's plenty of things to draw with, if you get bored. Also, a handy link to the previous post. |

The people around him aren't entirely clear, but the fashion sure looks slightly dated. There's a ton of girls' school uniforms - maybe a fieldtrip of some kind for more than one school? If he looks out at the skyline, some of the larger buildings might look slightly familiar to him.]
no subject
Also do any of the uniforms look familiar? Because if so, he's going to move in that direction, looking for Hikaru among the crowd. Hilariously he might be able to guess the decade, since he's an old man and all.]
no subject
He will see a group of girls with the familiar red uniform that Hikaru always wears, yes! They all look between the ages of 12 to 15. At one of the binoculars stands a wisp of orange, like a ghost of fire, in the shape of Hikaru, blankly staring out at a city she doesn't seem to recognize, before numbly turning to look around her. There's several other classes, but they're indistinct, masses of blue and black, of green and red, with no faces distinguishable from another.]
no subject
Those kids are creepy though, he's going to head over to ghost fire Hikaru instead of looking at the indistinguishable schoolchildren.]
Hikaru?
no subject
Shiro-san... Sorry, I'm out of change right now. I'd let you look if you wanted.
[She looks back out to the skyline with a nostalgic eye. To their left, from one of the indistinguishable groups, comes
n̶̫̞͔̺̰̉̏́̔͊͒̌͋̊́̿̈̂̚͜ơ̶̧̻̜͕͙̱̱̦̜̠̲͈̽̍́̿̐̊͗̕͜ṱ̶̡̖̺̩͕̹͎̩͎̭͝h̵͔̽̇̉͑̀̕ỉ̴͚̘͖̻͖̝͔̩͈̇͊͌͂͛̈́̊̉͐̚̚̕ͅn̷̰̬̺͓͚̮̳̠̂̽͂̐̃̿͑͑̾͐̍̚͜͝g̸̛̲̭̘͓̊̿̿̓͆̂̄̔̔̓͐͑̓̚͜ ̶̨̢͎͚͔͉̫̣̝̝͎̜͛̍̽̊̅̉̀̌̇̕͜͜͝͝b̴̜̮͓͂̆̄̀͆̉͝ù̵̢̡̗͍̺̣͖͆̉͒̔̈́͑̅̆͋̓͛͒͆t̴̢̛͉̹͍̓̀̋̋͝ ̷̳͕̞͇͙͒͒̎̊̉̔̔̉̕̚s̶͕̹̱̠̦͚̺͊ț̴̹̼̬͍̓̌̓̈́̋̇͑̎̂͒̆͠͝a̶̙̼̫̪͎̣̲͚̩̲̰̎̈́͒͜͜t̷̢̡̗͖̹͍͇̫͓̟̖͓̲̍̐̑̉̃̅́͑̎̐͋ị̸̡̮̩̖̻̭̹̺̱͎͚͕͆̈́́c̶̨̞̦̞̞̠̝̠̟͍̝͖̓͗̌̇͌͋̊́͐
Hikaru doesn't seem to acknowledge it, even when it approaches her and seems to put an extra coin in the binoculars for her.
That should keep you going for a while.
It's a voice Shiro will recognize as Yukio.]
no subject
['I'll be fine', but then he hears that voice coming from the static. It now has his full attention, and he almost sounds disbelieving as he reaches out towards it.]
...Yukio?
no subject
"Ugh, that rich preppy school." It's one of Hikaru's classmates, from the row of students in the identical uniform lined up against the railing to take turns staring at the ceiling in their boredom. "I wonder what they're doing here."
Hikaru just falls quiet, watching Yukio flicker in and out in a tired confusion.]
I... should go thank them. That was nice.
[It feels like de-ja-vu.]
no subject
Shiro glances back to Hikaru, and then he nods.]
Alright. Let's go thank them.
[Those other girls better not cause Hikaru trouble though.]
no subject
There's another figure of static near the head of the group, the uniform a flash of blue with a laugh that's a little too loud, a stance that looks like he's one wrong suggestion away from doing something foolish, blue eyes that are carefree and stupid and stubborn.
Rin sees his father, and for a moment, his eyes widen with something that almost looks like... guilt? But it's here and gone again, his conversation back to the girl next to him, unintelligible.
Hikaru's still trying to peer her way through the crowd to find Yukio.]
no subject
He looks towards Hikaru and Yukio, and then looks back to Rin and the girl he's standing next to. One group, the other.
Finally, he looks to Rin and then nods his head towards Hikaru and Yukio.]
C'mon, let's catch up with them, yeah?
no subject
"Huh? What, me? Sorry, old man, I don't know what you're talking about. Catch up with who??"
Rin looks to his left, just as Yukio looks over, just as Hikaru turns her head.
There's a massive flash of light outside the observatory windows, the voice of a young girl calling for help... and all four of them are suddenly pulled down as the floor turns to liquid underneath them, swallowing them up as the crowd they leave behind murmers in awe.
Time warps. Shiro will hear a conversation - Hikaru, Rin but not quite, Yukio but not quite.
"We should do introductions, right?? Okumara Yukio. Fourteen, and I'm a second year. Sagittarius. A type blood."
A huff of breath. "What's the blood type for?? Fine, fine, geez. Okumura Rin. Fourteen, second year, A-type, same deal, but I'm a Pisces."
Hikaru giggles.
"Well, okay!! Shidou Hikaru!! I'm fourteen years old and a second year too, guys!"
Both boys practically wail.
"WHAT! No, you and I CAN'T be the same age!"
"You have such a baby face... there's no way."
"I saw you in the tower and thought you had to be in elementary school! Like, eleven!"
"Do you have to sit on phone books during class? Poor kid."
The static clears, and he's in an odd looking study, walls covered in books, a desk with a legless, egg like chair that floats off the ground, papers strewn about the floor. In the center of a room sits a cage, Yukio, Rin, and Hikaru all trapped behind it, all now decked out with strange chest and shoulder armor in gold and white. Hikaru looks heavily confused, Yukio looks kind of quietly irritated, and Rin is practically chewing on the bars yelling at a marshmallow version of Pikachu which seems to be having a great time wrecking up the place.]
no subject
And then there's the bunny-thing. Who's that P*kemon? Definitely not Pikachu!
Is he in the cage too, or can he go pick up the bunny to stop destruction?]
no subject
A lot of these papers are extremely colorful, advertising shows and comics that don't exist, but it's all very flashy, shonen-jump sort of stuff. What a mess.
Hikaru seems to be the only one to notice Shiro, perking up.]
I guess we shoulda watched where we were walking, huh...? [Why is she in jail. ): she hates this.]
no subject
[He will tuck the bunny under one arm and then go to inspect the lock on the cage. Can he pick it? Or is it magic?]
no subject
"Mo-ko-na-chaaaaan~ Is that you I hear in my office???"
Shiro, UNFORTUNATELY, recognizes that voice that echoes down the hallway. Maybe all this anime shit around the room starts to make sense.]
no subject
Shiro yeets Mokona at the door and dives behind the desk, trying to stay out of sight.]
no subject
There's a long-suffering sigh as Mephisto catches sight of who is in the cage.
"My, what a surprise. I didn't think the little rat had accomplices~"
All three of the children start talking at once - how they didn't do anything, how the door had been unlocked and they just walked in, how they have no idea where they are, but Mephisto ignores them.
"Let's see, how do I punish you? Oh, I do need to test out my new stew pot~ Do you think three naughty children would be delicious? Oh, or maybe I could hang you by your feet from the trees until your faces turn blue~"]
