GRAVEYARD 2.0
GRAVEYARD Well, that sucked. But no matter what your death was like—whether it was something peaceful or traumatic, you'll find yourself waking in a completely white room on the floor. Small and empty, there isn't anything else there besides an open door to walk through. But before you do that, you'll probably notice that whatever injuries you may have had, including whatever may have been the death blow, are now gone. That's exciting. Stepping out of the room, it seems that you're in a large... house? with three different floors. Everything from floor, ceiling to furniture is completely white, except for the drawings that are plastered to the walls in each room. These are all colorful, drawn in colored pencils and crayon, and resemble a child's drawing. The other notable thing are the windows. While they're present all around the building, looking out of them only shows TV static. Besides that, everything is furnished with the absolute bare minimum of each room. The first floor is all typical common areas one would find in a house. There's a kitchen, living room area, laundry room, dining room, and a main hallway where the stairs are. There are also helpful drawings in these rooms that show the rooms much more lavishly decorated than they actually are. There's a door that appears to be the way to exit the building, it's locked. The second floor consists of nothing but twenty bedrooms. Each room has one queen sized bed, an empty dresser, and an attached bathroom with only a sink, toilet, and shower. Like the first floor, each bedroom has drawn pictures that show it looking much more lavish than it actually does. Thanks for nothing, artist! The third floor only has two rooms. One appears to be a home office with nothing but a desk and two chairs, one behind it and one in front of it. While there's blank pieces of paper and crayons on the desk, the note that was previously there is gone. The other room is much larger, and it's completely empty save for the many drawings lining its walls— in fact, the walls are covered in them, much more than in any other room. On closer inspection, though, it seems like these aren't actually drawings? The papers seem to be showing scenes from the living area. Everything from inside the hotel to the areas beyond the bridge are visible here. However, when curfew hits on Thursday nights, they revert to being normal drawings! Except for the fact that they're all drawings of stick figures being murdered in various ways. Well. At least there's plenty of things to draw with, if you get bored. Also, a handy link to the previous post. |

she spots her from a hallway and instantly yeets herself directly at ochako
they are probably hitting the floor and glitching out. oops.]

H-Hikaru-san?
no subject
You're okay-- you're okay, Ochako-chan! Nothing hurts, does it? Do you remember everything??
no subject
[ they're literally dead but sure. ]
Um... Do you mean about how died?
no subject
It's really important that we know who it was that killed you. Nobody will be mad or anything, and we can wait until Yoshizawa-chan gathers everybody up later, but... if they weren't on Swan-chan's team, then we might be in trouble.
That was the only team that we can't be sure was safe.
no subject
It was Yuuri-san and Taako-san, so...
[ we good fam ]
no subject
immediately tears up with a smile that would light up the sky
and throws her arms back around ochako
that's a yes]
no subject
I guess that's a good thing, huh?
no subject
We can go back... we can go back, Ochako-chan!!
no subject
That's - I'm so...
[ she's so happy. all of this was to bring them back. if it hadn't worked, then - ]
Riegan-san will be so happy to have you back, Hikaru-san.
no subject
Y-you too! We need to get you back to Niichan, and to Chijin, he...
[She wipes at her eyes a little.]
He really, really needs to see you're okay, Ochako-chan.
Between what happened to you and what Dorothy-san did, that means the bridge between here and the others should be safe. But... um... we just have to find it, I guess.
no subject
[ why would claude care that much about her when hikaru is right here
she does sober a little when hikaru brings up xie lian, though. it takes a few deep breaths to fight back a fresh round of tears, knowing that she'd hurt him by letting this happen. ]
I know. He knew it was a possibility, but I - I told him that I could handle it. I'm glad that he listened. Losing him would have been so much worse for everyone.
...But I do want to see him again, as soon as we can.
no subject
We're not giving up, okay? No matter what. I believe in you, and so do Chijin and Claude and Sensei and Rabbit-chan, and everybody else on your team.
We're gonna get back there, and you can show him yourself how far a hero is willing to go for those they love, Ochako-chan. No matter how many times they have to fall and pick themselves up.
no subject
[ still, there's something off in how she smiles. ]
I don't think I could be called a hero, though. Heroes are supposed to be brave and all that, but I'm not.
no subject
[She squeezes her hands.]
Bravery comes in all different sorts, you know? You think just anybody would willingly do what you did? That you even chose to do something like that for the sake of everybody else is brave.
You can feel fear, and sadness, and anger and hesitation... and still be a brave person, Ochako-chan.

I just... wanted to help everyone, and make sure Xie Lian lived. I was really scared for him and his team, once we learned what we did. But I'm glad that everything worked out.
They won't have to wait for us much longer. That's the important part.
no subject
[What they did with what, exactly
...]
Chijin was on my team, so I know he was trying to do everything he could. Losing him would've been really bad... but he always puts so much on his shoulders and tries to smile and pretend he's okay, while telling us not to do the same. He takes everybody's death so close to his heart, and I.... I really worry he thinks it's all his fault.
But I love Chijin, and I know he loved you... I just hope that he can believe in us as much as he wants us to believe in him.
no subject
[ and she knows it did. she'd be foolish to think otherwise. ]
I've been worried about him, too, Hikaru-san. All I wanted was to see him smile without it looking so sad. I know volunteering didn't help, but... he knew, and he listened when I asked him to leave it to me. So I have to thank him for that, when we see him again.
He does believe in us. And I believe in him, and Hua Cheng-san, and all the rest of them, too. Whatever happens, we'll all make it through.
no subject
Mmn. To have everyone come back, I think, will really help him.
Yoshizawa-chan should be gathering everybody together later, so we can make sure we're all on the same page then. We can watch the people who are on the other side, too, so maybe they have more to explore than we do.
no subject
I know it will.
[ she's still smiling. it's good, to know they won't have to wait. that xie lian won't have to question it for long, and hua cheng won't have to handle his sadness alone for long, and claude won't be alone for long, either. and, of course, that she'll see the rest of her team again soon. ]
Good. If there's anything else that we can do to help before we make it back, I want to try. There'd be no point if we just sat around now.

Finding the leaders and helping them might be a goal. Normally we can talk to them pretty easily, but they've gone missing. I'd like to see if the others have heard anything, and we can figure out what to do from there.
no subject
So that's the first thing we do, then - look for them. And keep our eyes open in case something else changes here, because if it works like they said before, a pathway should be opening soon.
no subject
I talked to all the leaders yesterday, and I think all of them were really ready to face whatever step was next. So we gotta follow up.
no subject
I just don't want to let them down after everything they've done for us.
no subject
[Straight to the point. It's not an option otherwise.]
I want to think our memories will be more in danger than anything else. But... we have the people around us who care about us, who remember us even when we start to forget. So all we need to do, all we need to remember, is to push through no matter what... and that we have people here to support us.
I'll count on you, Ochako-chan.
