[ He looms over her, anyways, so sitting down so he's more on her level serves two functions. One being that he's in a constant state of pain and is still ill, the other being closer to her. ]
Swan, what I did in those memories was my own choice. I would make many of those choices again, regardless, because that is the person that I am, even knowing that my arm would be lost. It was a small price to pay, to ensure that those three would come back safely.
And your mother tried to warn us. That, and the report Shigeo found, was more than worth what happened.
... Alright. [ still clearly feels bad but, y'know, priorities. ] They're still memories, even if they're fractured and incomplete. I don't know how much that warning really meant, if anything.
