Mm. At least from what I have learned, I could understand if the Leaders did not realize they were caught in a repeat of events. They had lost so much of their memories by the time we met them.
But as we started out with all of our memories, I'm not certain it makes sense for us to also be caught in a loop...

That's a good point! It feels more likely to me that the leaders are the ones repeating this competition, if anyone. From the contents of the second one... it sounds like previous participants may have all killed each other. Or maybe something else ended up getting them.
Either way, we should, um... try not end up like that!
I know they're in some other kind of plane than us, one that I think is pretty difficult to get to... But we can revive them eventually. Wolf's team got something on their PHS to send messages the week before we did, but I think everyone should be able to now?
I haven't been taking much advantage of it, though.
