WEEK 3: CYOA (Rufus, Sumire, Taako, Dorothy)

[When Claire goes down, Rufus grabs Dorothy and dashes over to the stage with his enhanced speed. He drops her off on the stage, then sprints to Taako and reaches for the knife tucked in the latter's skirt.

Clutching the knife, he aims to plunge it in the side of the man's neck.]

[ Dorothy is nowhere near as fast as Rufus right now, for obvious reasons. But he did her the favor of getting her to a more helpful position and it's why she shifts into a run and aims to follow up by punching the man in the stomach??

She has no tuba nor knife. Just a fist. It's fine.

Maybe she just wanted to hit this guy. ]

[ You are all so violent.

The priest is both stabbed in the neck, as well as punched. He just smiles, as blood spurts from his neck. ]

Did you ever figure out a better answer to my question?

[ He spits out blood. ]

[Just hitting Claire in the same knee again. Fuck off!]

This is why no one tells you anything, Claire.

LIFTS THE TUBA UP.]

[AND PRESSES TRIANGLE TO BRING IT DOWN ON HER HEAD.

[ Claire lets out a scream that still somehow sounds like a cheer at the same time. She's really good at cheerleading, guys.

But the tuba goes on her head, and she falls the rest of the way down, twitching. ]

Grad... uate...

[ It just comes out sounding funny because she's in the tuba. ]

[The priest's blood splatters on his face and school shirt. Nothing happens. Apparently the man's blood is not holy.

Ignoring the question, Rufus yanks the knife free and aims for the heart next.]

[misstrust]

[ Surprisingly, she finally laughs, a little breathlessly. ]

I like our answer. That's more than good enough for me.

[ Dorothy... is still not cool enough to have a weapon so she just.

Kicks him in the groin for good measure. ]

[retellers]

[ I hate you all.

The priest gets stabbed in the heart, and his dick kicked, and he falls over. Both he and Claire are now on the floor of the stage, unmoving.

What now? ]

[uhhhmagic]

[Um, just. Gently trying to shake Kravitz (that’s his name, right? Feels a little fuzzy.) on the shoulder?]

Steps over Claire to start walking around the stage. It looks like she wants to try poking Kasumi the same way Taako is poking Kravitz, but, ah... She sharply pulls away and turns in the other direction before her hand can make contact with her not-sister's shoulder. She already watched two of her friends die. Not today, Satan!!!

Are there any rooms connected to the stage? Any handy dandy levers or thingamajigs? What kind of stage is this even? Hopefully, the audience will not try to murder them.]

[ The stage isn't anything fancy. There's a red curtain behind them, and presumably a backstage behind it. Above them are some catwalks where lighting fixtures are located for, you know, the spotlight on them.

As for Taako, when he pokes Kravitz, Kravitz turns his head to look at him. ]

Is this what you'd call an acceptable level of death?

[soulus]

[Rufus looks up. Where are the nooses hanging, anyway?

Lowering his head, he hangs back to allow Yoshizawa and Dorothy, if she would like, to explore the backstage while he watches Taako and Kravitz.]

[misstrust]

[ Dorothy spares one look at the black-haired young lady. And then, slowly shaking her head, she moves to also slowly start exploring. What's backstage? ]

[retellers]

[ They won't find too much backstage. A few backdrops that were probably from school plays and costumes. Sound equipment. The remains of a sacrificed goat. A lot of chairs. A table full of snacks for school staff.

Interestingly, there doesn't seem to be any exit back here, even though it would make sense for there to be one.

Also the nooses are hanging from the catwalk. ]

[uhhhmagic]

[WHY IS THIS ILLUSION SASSING HIM.]

I’d say it’s, uh, a little excessive there, my man. You wanna, um, gimme that knife or something? And maybe you step away from the noose?

[Holding out a hand?]

[Oh. Bye, Goat. She ain't gonna fuck around with that.

She will back away slowly from the backstage area, and move back to the Kasumi and co. Hm. Is there a way to get up to the catwalk so she can untie the nooses? If there isn't, she will settle for carefully reaching for the knife on Kasumi's lap to cut through the nose above her.]

[ There doesn't seem to be a way up there. Normally that would be backstage, but backstage is completely useless outside of the dead goat (oh n).

But.

Kravitz doesn't give Taako the knife. Instead, he picks it up himself, and as quickly as he can, plunges the knife into his own side. Which is funny! Because Taako will feel a sudden flash of pain, and if he looks down, he'll see that there is now more blood coming out of him from a new wound that wasn't there before.

Meanwhile, Kasumi will allow this. But as soon as Kravitz stabs himself, she stands to try to tackle Sumire to the ground. It's fine. ]

[soulus]

[That knife is better off staying in there in case it hit something vital. Taako had better stop Kravitz from pulling it out and doing more damage.

Meanwhile, Rufus makes a break for Yoshizawa to snatch her out of Kasumi's way, which brings them closer to his original target of choice: Lass.]

[ Dorothy stays backstage a little while longer, examining the goat (ugh) and everything else before she finally moves back to rejoin the others. ]

It's no use. I thought there might be exits or clues, but--

[misstrust]

What the hell--

[ Oh my god. Taako is bleeding?? Sumire's doppelganger is trying to tackle her? Rufus is child-snatching??

Prefect is fine.

Rather, all it takes is one look at the knife Taako's boyfriend has sticking in him and the fresh wound Taako has and then you know what, she's just going to make a valiant run to get the rest of those knives from the others.

Just. Seems like a good idea. ]

[retellers]

[ Lass is waiting for you, bro.

But Rufus can try to snatch Sumire away. Kasumi is very determined though, so they're just going to have to wrestle with her a while longer. Uh, have fun with a fifteen year old girl trying very hard to strangle her sister, I guess.

Meanwhile, Dorothy can try to grab the other knives. That does get Prefect's and Lass' attention though, and they will both try to move to grab her as she passes by. ]

[uhhhmagic]

Uh, ow.

[You’d think he’d be more shocked, but he’s had worse second dates than this. Also, just being shocked by every new and horrible injury is exhausting. Sometimes shit just be happening, yo.

Anyway. Just going to reach over there and take the knife out of Kravitz. I know it’s not medically sound advice, but it isn’t as if Taako has the knife currently in him blocking his injury anyway. He has super strength. Try and stop him, Mr. Now Ex-Boyfriend.]

Between Kasumi trying to strangle her and Rufus helping a girl out, Sumire is just very determined to play keep away with the knife, holding it as far away from Kasumi as possible as to avoid any accidents.]

Kasumi, stop! [GUESS... THEY'RE WRESTLING 2V1 NOW. One armed wrestling in Sumire's case.] We don't have to fight!

[ Taako has a knife! Kravitz bleeds, just like Lup is on the field.

Meanwhile, Kasumi continues to try to get between Rufus to properly murder her sister. ]

What do you mean? You're the one who said I could never understand you!
