Because when I look at his tests, I don't understand how he came to the conclusions he did.

[ Read: Hishi cannot comprehend the minds of those less capable, and therefore cannot tutor.

But she's quiet for a moment, thinking. ]

... Still, I guess he's nice. He's always patient with me, even when I don't know what everyone else already seems to. And he helped me become friends with Riu... and sometimes, he pats me on the head, although I don't want to catch any stupid germs from him.

What does my feelings about Kaiza have to do with my condition?

she chews her cheek to bite back a laugh as hishi spells out her crush for them, though the smile leaks into her words anyway. ]

I don't know—what's your verdict, Alyssa?

You know, this sounds real serious... I'm not even sure we're capable of handling this!

[ unlike hilda, alyssa is a little better at hiding her amusement, sealing her smile away behind a stony lineface. almost reminiscent of hishi when they first met her... ]

[ IS SHE DYING ]

[ they've probably had enough fun, so before hishi can contemplate death, ]

My diagnosis is... [ she very seriously reaches out and boops hishi's nose ] you have a crush.

[assistance]

[ and with that, alyssa bursts once again into smiles as she throws her hands in the air. ]

You're sooooo cute, Hishi!

[ Momentarily going cross-eyed when Hilda boops her nose, she blinks a few times. ]

A crush...? Are you saying this is... love?

[ she's so cute... ]

Maybe, but it doesn't have to be. Sometimes crushes are just... when you like someone a little more than usual. They can lead to love eventually. But you don't have to figure it all out at once.

[ love is a very big idea to jump into right away—hilda's entertained admirers but she's never been in love. ]

[assistance]

Do you want to be around him more, spend more time with him, that kind of stuff?

[retellers]

[ After a pause, Hishi hesitantly nods. ]

Sounds like a crush to me.

[ puppy love... ]

You should let him know sometime. You know, once you've got things figured out.

[assistance]

And if he ever gives you any trouble, let him know your moms will kick his butt!

[ well. more like hilda will. alyssa's more of a cheerleader. ]

[ Hishi's voice trails off, as she appears to think about this. Also, thanks Alyssa, her moms are the best.

Too bad about Alyssa's lack of combat ability, though. ]
